A locals spot for jumping off into the turbulent waters that rise & fall & crash against the rocky cliff side.
Parking in residential neighborhood. No parking in the little turn around area in front of the entrance. Be respectful of property owners or you'll see more & more No Parking signs going up.
No shade. No facilities.
Short, relatively easy access to the "beach"? Maybe 100 yards to the water? It's a flat rocky "shoreline", no sand! Just a little scramble down onto the flat rock "table" that is popular with the local daredevils who jump at their peril into the enticing waters below. Fun to observe but unless you know what you're doing (how to watch the ocean and time your ingress & egress correctly) you are gonna get hurt.
Saw some people fishing, but didn't appear to be catching anything. My wife noted, "I'd really like to see someone catch something sometime. We always see lots of people fishing, but never anyone catching anything." I conquer with her assessment. I think a lot of people stop at the market on the way home and point to a beauty in the glass case & then ask the merchant to please "toss" it to them so they can proudly announce to their wife & family in all truthfulness that they "caught" it.
Personally, we were mesmerized by the crashing waves & spraying surf. Spent about an hour here before moving along to our next adventure stop. read more
