Her energy makes anyone feel seen and known. I have the most magical photos from our shoot that are anything but pastel/basic. That's just not my jam. I can't wait to shoot with her again after my son arrives!!

So, somehow I find a beautiful girl that agrees to marry me....hard part over, right? WRONG!!!…read more After contemplating a traditional wedding that involves parents, guests, caterers, lots of money, and even more fighting, we decide, what the hell, let's just elope!! At the last moment. Perfect....what do we need....minister....check.....car and driver....check....photographer....let me defer to the soon to be wife on that one! So, wife to be does her research and gets good ground level intel and gives Amy at And How! a call. She saw her work and heard great things about her. Wednesday is the wedding day...and she was calling on MONDAY. (I wasn't lying when I said it was at the last moment). Even though Amy had a shoot booked for that day, she so kindly rearranged things a little and, BAM, we got ourselves a photographer. Wife to be had several ideas of locations, shots, and even examples of what she wanted. Amy loved all of that and there was a lot of back and forth between the two to come up with some great locations. On the big day, Amy was right on time and ready to go. We had a blast with her as we drove to a bunch of different locations throughout Nashville. She had some great ideas, and between her and my wife, we really ended up with a ton of amazing pictures. Honestly, after seeing what my wife wanted to duplicate and seeing what Amy actually shot, I thought that Amy's work was better time and time again. Amy was great to work with and actually made the entire process a lot of fun...which is no small task with me. I loved her and her creativity and the way she worked. Thanks Amy!!

This was our first time using Alisa as our family photographer and I couldn't be more impressed…read more What I loved most about her (besides the amazing shots she took!) was how effortless she made the whole process. Everything felt so natural as she took candid shots and we interacted with each other like normal. I also love that all her photos were taken outside using natural light. Each picture had such a beautiful warm glow. Alisa is incredibly professional. Before meeting, she sent over a very helpful and thorough styling guide to help us know what types of clothing and colours work best, as well as anything we could do beforehand to help with squirmy kids (mine!). I also appreciated how quickly she sent over both our gallery to review as well as beautifully edited photos. Sometimes we are hesitant to spend money on family photos, however, I cannot express how grateful I am to have these memories hanging on my wall. Thanks, Alisa!

I used Kristin's photography services for my wedding back in 2012. From the moment we connected…read morewith her for a consultation to the delivery of our photos, we had an incredible year with this young lady! The joy Kristin has for capturing life's milestones was evident from the moment my husband and I met with her to discuss our options. She couldn't stop beaming - it was almost like this wedding was as significant to her as it was to us! She led us step-by-step through showing us her portfolio, describing the materials she uses, and even provided us with some sample wedding day timelines to consider. Kristin took note of every request, concern, and idea, and she committed to delivering with excellence and precision. She had an assistant accompany her on our wedding day to add to what she was already shooting for us (totally free of charge!), and the assistant shot black and white film while Kristin captured the full-color shots. What a special bonus those photos were! Kristin and her assistant knew that the wedding day was not about her, but about capturing our day in its entirety. She wasn't in the way as many photographers are, and I barely noticed her as we were going through the motions of preparation and the wedding itself. With everything I had to worry about that day, her services were not one of them! I didn't bother to tell her what shots to take, because she already knew! Photography is intuitive for Kristin, and her impeccable taste and discernment come naturally. After the wedding, we received a beautiful box of proofs and a disk with the files, as well as an online viewing gallery that we could share with our friends and family. It was perfect for ordering and marking "favorites" for now or later. Our photo box still sits on our coffee table - not only a beautiful conversation piece, but a special memory of our wedding day and the memories that are preserved.

She's the constant professional and full of southern charm and warmth. Kristin was responsive and attentive to the details and wishes that we had along the way. While pregnant, she came up to Chicago (with her equally as wonderful husband) to shoot our engagement session. She made me and my husband feel at ease and relaxed. The wedding was nothing different. She was patient with last minute request and captured moments that I didn't even remember from the wedding (it happens so fast). Every asset we got from Kristin, from the photo box for our engagement session and wedding to the full albums for us and our parents, was treated with meticulous care and beauty. At the end of the day, Kristin's partnership with us felt far beyond a service but more like a friendship. I wish we could do the wedding all over again so we could work with her again:)
