This is a truly authentic French restaurant, from the menu to the atmosphere. The interior has a perfect French vibe--charming, cozy, and full of character. When we arrived, the place was crowded, but we got lucky and snagged a table just five minutes after a group of four paid their bill. Seating is fairly close to neighboring tables, but it was still very comfortable and added to the lively, bistro-style ambiance. The food was excellent across the board--everyone at the table loved their dishes. A special shoutout to the grilled squid, which was sooo good and easily one of the highlights of the meal. Our server was amazing as well: friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. If you're in Regensburg and looking for a delicious break from schnitzel (which is still amazing), Hotel Orphée is an easy and enthusiastic recommendation. We'll definitely be back!

It's located right in the old town district, very conveniently located for shopping and sight-seeing and getting around town. The rooms are spacious and gorgeous, though they definitely have a quirky and authentic European flare, as does the rest of the hotel in general. Little touches like complimentary bottle of wine and a chocolate on the pillow made the stay that much more enjoyable. Reservations include breakfast every morning in the restaurant downstairs, which is another local favorite. Standard breakfast includes bread basket, and a plate of meats, cheeses, yogurt and fruits, plus juice and coffee or tea. What a great way to start the day. The restaurant gets crowded at night for dinner and cocktails crowd, so it's a great way to end the night as well. I loved staying here and would recommend it to anyone.

David Hotel over looks the riverbed. There is no front desk or cafe at David Hotel but you can go to the Goliath hotel for breakfast in the morning and food is price fair though only 3 options for food besides the buffet they have open. The rooms at David Hotel are wood floors with a solid wood door. Beds were very comfortable compared to the Goliath beds that I stayed in a couple years back WiFi was ok but kept knocking me off from time to time. Lastly, the radiator was located in the bathroom areas so only the restroom got warm. The rest of the room was cold at night in January. Rooms were priced fair for a5 night stay at €455.

We were in a room on the alley side away from the cathedral so bell chimes were not heard. It also has a nice Bavarian style restaurant on the premises. I appreciated having a separate room for the toilet, which included a small sink. The t.v. had an adequate number of channels, even a few in English. We stayed on the top floor of this hotel and its three flights up with no elevator and narrow stairs. It's what you can expect in staying in a really old building so if you have lots of luggage please specifically request a lower floor to save you some hassle. They also have a car park next to the hotel you can use if you are driving and it costs €15 a day. The room was beautiful with huge wood beams as it was an attic room and was beautifully decorated in simple style and in keeping with the character of the house. The bathroom was narrow but sufficient and had a really good shower. The bed was really comfortable and the room had an air conditioner (it was a bit noisy). You can always open the windows on a warm day however the street noise can be quite loud as its cars driving over cobblestone road. Breakfast was excellent and they served it beautifully. The service is very friendly and prompt and they make you feel like your home away from home. It is not cheap and I felt the value for money was a bit lacking but that would not stop me from coming back here anytime. Everything is 2-5 min walk and it's super convenient location to explore Regensburg from.
