The price you pay is about average for this part of town, maybe a little more, but the quality of the food is great. They take card, but sometime the EC card readers are flakey if you are in from the US or Canada, so take case has well. Euros. Have a German colleague call ahead and reserve if weekend or summer evening. No good for non-german groups, I prefer for 2-5 people. They are close to the main city gate and the Rathouse. It's always great when locals recommend a place that you found on Yelp, reconfirming your faith in the Yelp community. Thanks for pointing me in this direction! Our group of 11 was seated in a room straight to the back. It was cozy, but we get along well, so no worries. Because of our large group, they requested that we limit ourselves to 3 dishes, so we chose from the duck breast special, the schnitzel, and the flounder. I chose the schnitzel and shared with a colleague who got the duck. We also got the starter tour - 2 for our table. So many delicous bites on one platter! I enjoyed the cabbage and the pumpkin soup the most, but all was good. The schnitzel was the best I had on my trip - thin and crispy outside, with juicy and flavorful meat. The duck was also excellent. As we were enjoying our beers, a carpenter came around asking for money. Apparently it's a thing for traveling carpenters and roofers who are learning the trade around the world to show up in "traditional" dress and ask for donations. It added a little to the ambiance, though it was slighlty annoying. Thanks also to the manager for allowing us to split the bill at the cash register. Too bad they don't take AMEX, but they do take Visa. I recommend!
