The service of this shop... dear lord. It´s the WORST! A while back I caught myself drooling over their shop for quite some time, so when I got a coupon for my birthday I was over the moon! However it took me a while to actually get to the shop to use it. When I finally got in the shop and grabbed everything I wanted to buy with my coupon, they said the coupon code was invalid.. even though no-one ever used it before and the coupon was still sealed in the enveloppe when I handed it over. (And all the data was also correct: my name was on it, the date of purchase, a coupon code and a signature) There was no service or whatsoever regarding this problem, the girl in the shop simply said that I should call the hotline to get this problem fixed. So, the same day I called them.. apparently no one was there to answer my call.. Better yet: the next 2 weeks I tried calling them for almost every day and I never got someone to answer my call, actually the automatic lady on the phone said: "nobody is available to answer your call, please send an e-mail or leave a message afther the beep." I´ve sent multiple e-mails and guess what: still haven´t got an answer! This is truely the worst service imaginable. Their shop looks so gorgeous and sophisticated, so does the food and accessoires in their shop by the way. But purely by their lack of service I now refuse to spend a dime at Kochhaus. Too bad though, because if they would have given me the proper service, I would probably be a returning customer and brand ambassador. Their loss. read more

I love the idea of this Berlin grocery store. It's way different than a typical store. Basically there are stations with different meal ideas displayed. You walk around and look at the day's offerings and pick what you'd like to make. Then you can grab the recipe and everything you need right at the station. The store is very clean and pretty. The meals are affordable. The idea is perfect for somebody who is new to cooking because they make it so simple! My boyfriend and I got a vegetarian pasta with sun dried tomatoes and spinach. The recipe was very easy to follow and the ingredients were fresh. However we thought the finished product was too salty. Still I'd love to see something like this store in America! read more

I love this adorable grocery store. They offer a wide variety of products organized in an interesting way. I picked up some delicious chocolate however I wish I would have been able to stay in town longer and buy chocolates, grains, and eggs. They have a large variety of spices and seasonings. I think this place turns into a bar at night? Or hosts events at night because when I walked by it a night before people were drinking and dancing at the back of the store. read more

I am absolutely DONE with Kochhaus. My partner and I have had a weekly delivery for the past 3.5 years and within the last 6 months they have done so many things wrong that we can't possibly rely on them anymore. It first started with sub-standard beef - which tastes grainy and like plastic. Their beef used to be the best you could get in Berlin - now I'd rather buy it at a Lidl. Then, the delivery started leaving out key items - Like the Beef or the Salmon which is exactly what we were paying "extra" for in the weekly delivery. Each time they did it and we contacted them, they would say an "oops, we were out of it" but not realize they should have contacted us. And today, they delivery one of the meals we ordered but not the other - which we had planned to make this evening. When I contacted them, they had to call back only to tell us that they were out of that dish and couldn't rectify the situation. At least this time we are getting a refund. They are losing a longtime customer today and really need to take a look at their business model and why the far substandard service in the past 6 months if they have a hope to make it in the next 6 months. read more
