Staying in Hemsbach for a few days exploring our family heritage in the region, we discovered this incredible hidden gem for an authentic German meal. The setting is perfect, old world including the beautiful outdoor option. Although we had not made a reservation and don't speak German, the staff was accommodating and seated us in the perfect setting. With a bit of help from Google Translate we ordered a variety of exquisitely prepared steak and pork dishes. Visiting from the US this was our favorite meal in 10 days in Europe and very reasonably priced (just make sure to have Euros - no credit card). read more

Das Kochemer ist für mich der absolute favorit, trotz Lebensmittelunverträglichkeit, gibt es hier nie probleme. Das Kochemer Bayes ist eines der wenigen Toprestaurants, welches jederzeit frisch seine Gerichte zubereitet. Somit bleibt hier der ewige Kampf der ''Fertigsossen''aus. Für Gäste mit Glutenunverträglichkeit ( Zöliakie ) die keine Lust haben sich durch jedes Gericht und jede Beilage durchzufragene empfehle ich das Kochemer! Hallo liebes Team des KB, ich bin jetzt schon 7 Jahre Stammgast hier, im Frühjahr, Sommer, Herbst und Winter. Hervorzuheben die nette und kompetente Bedienung, das frische Essen und der regionale Bezug. Besonders toll immer im Sommer der Innenhof. Super, keine Tütensuppen oder -soßen, so etwas findet man nur selten. Tolle Speisekarte, sehr gute Rotweine. Macht weiter so - Ihr seit nicht umsonst das EINZIGE Restaurant im Umkreis von 30km welches ich empfehlen kann. read more
