It's not the cleanest, there are a lot of truckers that use the truck section, so there is a large amount of traffic between normal clientele, the large truckers, highway traffic, and the landscapers, it stays busy and takes more effort to keep clean, the constant traffic shows it's wear. If you stop to use the bathroom, I can't recall a time when it's actually been clean. The mens bathroom is always dirty with many puddles around the stalls. The food is usually decent tho, I really like the pizzas. The soda fountains are hit and miss, sometimes it tastes great, other times it's too syrupy. One thing that is good is the lines at the check out counter are always moving, the staff keeps folks moving without too much wait.

I paid Gerald Smith, the owner of SOS Tow and Auto, over $3000 in labor alone to install an engine…read more(plus $3200 for the engine itself), install a rebuilt transmission (plus $1300 to a rebuilder that he chose), and approximately $2000 in additional requested parts and fluids (injectors, starter, plugs, coils, radiator, fluids, etc). That is just short of $10k invested for the repair of an '01 truck. Upon picking the truck up, I immediately noticed that the truck had a 'Service Engine Soon' light. I was very concerned, but Gerald said that this was likely due to the truck needing to be taken through driving cycles following the engine and transmission replacement. He also mentioned that he felt that the truck had a vacuum leak and that he had neglected to upgrade the hoses on the vehicle during the engine and transmission replacement. He hooked his computer up to it, and said that he had seen no codes, and claimed that the vacuum leak needed to be addressed, and the truck just needed to be driven. I was not happy about the 'Service Engine Soon' light nor was I happy about the lack of common sense to replace bad hoses at the same time that you replace the engine, but I did understand the concept that with the major components being replaced, the truck did need to be taken through driving cycles to allow the truck's computer to be updated with the newly installed components. I decided that I could replace a few hoses, and drive the truck, and that everything might work out, right. I could not have been anymore wrong about the job working out. The same evening that I picked up the truck, I had an ODB computer placed on the truck, and there were multiple codes. Not only this, but the truck really was not driving well - there was clearly a misfire. When I contacted Gerald about the codes and the misfiring, he answered the call on speakerphone and said that the codes were "due to preexisting issues" - I could hear him discussing the issue with his wife in the background. Furthermore, he refused to give me my receipt or any of the paperwork that he had stated that his wife would be preparing for me. He said that any additional work that he did on the truck would be an additional cost; he did not honor his so-called warranty at all. It was at that point that I knew that my truck was likely in far worse shape than I ever could imagine. On May 15, 2025, I finally had a chance to have the truck looked at to address the alleged vacuum leak, the codes, and the 'Service Engine Soon' light. Their findings were very alarming; they found that Gerald had left the knock sensor unplugged during the installation of the new motor, of the new fuel injectors he had me purchased some were loose and/or improperly installed, and various other nuts and bolts were loose. The transmission was low on fluid and was not shifting properly. I paid $600 for the knock sensor, fuel injectors, loose nuts and bolts and the diagnosis, and elected to have the truck towed to a transmission shop the following day. The findings at the transmission shop left me speechless. The very first thing they attempted after seeing the low fluid levels via the transmission dipstick was to add some fluid - the transmission fluid that they tried to add spilled on the ground as they tried to add it. This was bad, but the findings only got worse. This is the short list of what I witnessed them encounter: Loose/unbolted high pressure AC line Loose/unbolted and unsecured fuel line under truck (this is severe fire hazard) Fuel line stack bolts missing Inoperable transmission bleeder Missing transmission bleeder hoses Missing transmission dust cover shield Missing bolts on cross member Exhaust mount nuts missing Upon further tear-down, these additional issues were discovered: The brand-new starter that I supplied Gerald with was only secured by one bolt - not the three that are required The torque converter was improperly aligned during install Missing bolts at transmission bell housing Marred transmission casing due to the wrong bolt (too long) being forced into the wrong location Various bolts cross-threaded and stripped due to improper placement Missing transmission vent tubes Missing transfer case vent tubes Idle air control valve missing cap after install of replacement engine After repair and correction of the neglect incurred by SOS Auto and Tow, I just paid an additional $3200 not including multiple tows and multiple Ubers due to my truck being inoperable. At a minimum, Gerald Smith of SOS Auto and Tow is responsible for these most recent charges. I will be taking legal action due to this act of gross neglect and services left unrendered. Potential Consumers: Do yourself a favor and do not entrust Gerald Smith, SOS Auto and Tow or any of its affiliates with the care of your vehicle, unless you enjoy burning your hard-earned money or potentially being burned alive by neglectful work such as leaving fuel lines exposed and unsecured beneath your vehicle.

Gerald jumped out asked me the problem and suggested that I call a 24hr tire shop that he drive me to. Gerald was nice, precise, technically proficient, and fast. The price was cheap and affordable. I would strongly caution anyone considering buying a vehicle from this dealership to be extremely careful. AutoPark Dallas makes the following statement on its website: "The team here at AutoPark Dallas is dedicated to offering a level of customer service not usually found in the automobile industry. Thanks to years of extensive car buying/selling experience, we pursue quality used and new vehicles that are hand-picked from factory sources. Our love for automobiles and dislike of 'traditional dealership tactics' is what motivates us to provide the service we do! The pride we take in continuing this service long after the vehicle has been delivered is what we strive for! Looking forward to making every effort to see that our customer is completely satisfied and a friend for life!" In my opinion, every part of that statement was proven untrue during my buying experience with Jay and AutoPark Dallas. I purchased a vehicle from AutoPark Dallas as an out-of-state customer. After the vehicle was delivered, I discovered that important safety-related equipment and other items were missing from the car. AutoPark Dallas sold me the vehicle without all of the lug studs installed on each wheel. Each wheel had only 5 of the 6 lug studs installed, and the center caps were installed and concealed the missing lug studs. The missing lug studs were the security/safety lug studs intended to help prevent theft of the wheels and tires. I found this out after one of the "B" center caps fell off the car while driving down the freeway at 75 mph on the 101. In addition, the emergency spare tire, emergency tools, car jack, the two holders for the emergency tools, and the center locking bolt used to secure the spare tire, tools, and jack were all missing from the vehicle. The manufacturer's safety instructions, owner's manuals/documents, the Bentley ashtray from the center console, the trickle charger, and the charger case were also missing. These items appear to have been present when the vehicle was listed by the previous dealership in Chicago, before AutoPark Dallas acquired it. On top of that, I was ch AutoPark Dallas also failed to disclose multiple issues with the vehicle, including: - The passenger-side door window frame was bent or out of alignment. - The front grille surround was cracked in two places. - The driver's window was out of alignment and this scratched the driver-side glass through the interior tint. - The rear bumper sections were misaligned where they meet the rear wheel wells on both sides of the vehicle. The center console button used to raise and lower the rear deflector was broken and did not work. The dealership said the delay in shipping was due to not having staff to perform the promised detail of the car. The detail of the car was not performed. The car was delivered with an electronic key fob that did not work. The key fob had been disassembled then reassembled by an inexperienced technician without all of the original parts and did not function. In Texas, dealerships are generally required to disclose known defects that affect a vehicle's value or safety. Removing or failing to disclose missing safety-related equipment, emergency tools, lug studs, spare tire components, owner's manuals, or other critical parts may raise serious consumer protection concerns. Texas dealerships must comply with applicable state and federal laws when selling vehicles, including sales to out-of-state customers. These obligations may include proper disclosure of known defects, compliance with consumer protection laws, and ensuring that a vehicle is not sold in an unsafe or misleading condition. In my opinion, selling a vehicle without all required lug studs installed, while also concealing the missing studs with center caps, is extremely concerning. The same is true for selling a vehicle without the emergency spare tire, jack, tools, and other safety-related equipment, especially when those items appear to have been present before AutoPark Dallas acquired the vehicle. I believe this experience raises serious concerns under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act and other consumer protection laws. Texas dealerships that violate consumer protection laws may face civil penalties, fines, or other legal consequences depending on the circumstances. In conclusion, I would not recommend AutoPark Dallas. Based on my experience, the dealership failed to disclose important issues, sold the vehicle with missing safety-related equipment, added questionable charges. PhotNo spare jack tools or wheel studs

Anywho. This station is pretty clean. Restrooms are well kept and the attendant is real nice. African-American male about 27 years old. He's very helpful when it comes to answering questions and tries to create small talk to make you feel welcomed. This is a huge change from the previous attendant. It was an African-American woman about 40 years old. She was mean. Seemed to constantly sweat and appeared overweight. She would constantly step out to have a smoke and by the looks of her eyes, I'd guess she was on drugs. Luckily for us all, they decided to hire the new guy. I usually go here to pump bc Chevron contains techron (a cleaning agent). I'm not sure if it actually helps, but I'm sold from watching the commercials. Compared to other Chevrons in this area, this is the least expensive and usually has the lower price on average. Of course their snack items are overpriced, but they have this reward program that you can sign up for free. It's called freedom rewards. For every gallon, you get a point which is equivalent to one cent. It might not seem much, but for those of you who will be regulars here, itll add up fairly quickly. You can use the points like you do cash, but only at participating locations.
