Man, what a creative space! It made my workshop a breeze. What I liked most is its endless possibility for customization: The furniture & the ability to connect the 2 rooms into one large space. Lots of light, a cozy kitchen; plentiful space, stage & projector perfect for delivering my workshop. I'd come here again when hosting an event in the future! read more

History

Established in 2009.

Knowmads was founded in 2009 by a group of dedicated, gifted people. Since then, guardianship and care for the school has spread to many other dedicated, gifted people. Every member of staff brings unique talents and has a unique impact on the space and the school.

Meet the Manager: Daniel R.

Knowmads Business School opened in Amsterdam in February 2010. We had no building, no program, no curriculum, and no accreditation. What we did have was a dedicated team and a vision: to bring in bright individuals looking to create their own job, business, or living, and ready to help co-design their own school as part of the process. Twelve students enrolled from all corners of the world - South Korea, USA, Brazil, Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands - and the doors opened. Learning here is all made part of the experience, with real-life consequences and real-life businesses that make clear what does and what doesn't work. And because it is real life, projects and results can be ambiguous. It's all part of the process.
