    Amazing venue! Dan was so helpful. Easy booking and instructions for our celebration for our mom's 70th birthday celebration. Will definitely use this venue again.

    We selected this private banquet room for our South High Boys Water Polo Banquet and we could not have been any happier with that decision! The Event Coordinator, Dan, was so easy to work with and ensured that everything ran smoothly from setup until the final guests walked out the door. The room itself has been updated beautifully and we had plenty of space for our group of 90. There was a full kitchen for our caterer and a stage that worked well for our Awards Ceremony. Added bonuses were the game room that included billiards, a shuffleboard, a Ms PacMan and darts. Parents enjoyed the beautiful bar area as well. Overall, I'd highly recommend this spot for your next event! It's truly a hidden gem in the South Bay.

The only issue we ran into was with the guests that had special food requests (gluten free, allergies, etc.)---there was a slight mix-up and some of them didn't get their food until much much later on in the night. The food though, was great overall! People kept talking about the chicken and the salmon. I remember the guests commenting on how delicious the food was. I remember that my husband and my sister (she went to the food tasting, since I couldn't make it from Northern California), said that they weren't too impressed during the tasting, but they really blew it out of the water for the day of! Kathy: Kathy is so sweet, friendly, and professional--very extroverted! She made sure that all the details were taken care of and the night went rather smoothly. We were a bit scared because I was checking the weather and it read: sunny, sunny, sunny, sunny, BLUSTERY, sunny, sunny. That blustery day? Wedding day. Ugh, right? But fear not, Kathy made sure it all worked out, and we were still able to do the ceremony outside! DJ Lance: GREAT guy. Super sweet, friendly, and he played such great songs. We gave him a list of songs we'd like, and he rolled with the punches and went for it. He also led our guests in a jeopardy game about my husband and me, in order to dismiss the tables for the buffet food. He projected a powerpoint of us as a couple, growing up, in our respective towns. The guests absolutely LOVED him, as did we. We are quite happy that we chose RBH. After about 10 in-person interviews of other locations, we do not regret our decision.

I remember taking ballet as kid and modern dance as a teen. I also took a workout class when I was in college. I always appreciated the large and spacious dance studios where the classes were held. Now that I'm older I've also come to appreciate Torrance Cultural Arts Center as a venue. I've been to several different festivals here such as the Japanese Matsuri Festival and Lunar New Year festival. This spot is perfect for the community to get together and like how each festival is able to have many different booths. I also love how there is a stage area both outside and inside. I've also attended the Torrance Firefighters' Annual Spaghetti Dinner here. This is another great event at this spacious venue. Despite it being quite a popular dinner, there''s plenty of room for all to enjoy an evening out. Torrance Cultural Arts Center is great! They even have a small area to do a small arts and crafts paper lantern for the kids! You can even go further in and see the small koi pond and peaceful garden (PINE WIND GARDEN). This venue was one of two (that I found) closest to me that allowed for that within my budget. Pros: Nicest coordinator - Lemor, the rental manager/coordinator, is the best! She replied to every question and concern and even let us set up the day before since they didn't have an event. Cost - Incredibly low cost for the location (just a block from the beach) Flexibility - You can basically setup however you like and hire whichever vendors you want as long as you leave the venue undamaged Cons: No A/C - Usually this wouldn't have mattered but unfortunately the date of the reception it was a high of 90F so my guests were boiling. Luckily I did not have any young/elderly guests so basically everyone just chilled in the patio or stopped by the beach. However I probably would not risk the heat again in the future since no one danced because it was too hot No candles - Big non-issue, most venues don't allow candles anyway Parking - Only street parking is available. There are two paid lots nearby so there's still plenty of parking but guests will need to walk a block or two

From the moment she became involved there were mixed messages, opposing information, and changes. At one point after being told they were getting some upgrades done, awesome we said so long as the space was still usable as agreed upon. Then 2 days before our wedding we received an email from Suzanne telling us if we wanted to utilize the lights outside (which the patio was a part of our rental to begin with) or place tables out there with chairs we'd have to pay an extra $500 which we refused and then the patio only had 2/3 lights strung for our evening(which we didn't mind not turning them on in order to not pay $500 but at least finish it so the space appears nice and complete.) Then at the end of our reception at exactly 10:00pm Suzanne comes in like a bat out of hell, flips on all the lights and starts demanding things - meanwhile my coordinator and Angela already had arrangements for clean up and us being out of the space that evening. Suzanne was rude, unprofessional, and totally ruined the end of our wedding night. Thank goodness for our amazing vendors, family, and friends that took over so that Suzanne would not continue to attempt to argue with me at the end of my reception as I was still saying good bye to our wedding guests. Suzanne should not be the face of any rentals! I could not believe how 1 person could make what had been such a pleasant experience with an establishment turn so horrible!
