Purchased a new building in Diamondhead last year and paid for an inspection that apparently wasn't…read morevery complete. Over the course of the year I had many issues pop up that should've been covered by my home warranty, but my builder dragged his feet and dragged his feet. He's insisting that he was gonna come back and fix items. As we near the end of my one year warranty. I was having electrical issues so hired a different contractor to inspect the property thoroughly and boy as I pleased and upset all at the same time. Atlas Home inspectors climbed all over this property like a tree monkey for 6 1/2 hours and then followed up with an incredibly precise and very very well documented report showing over a dozen pretty serious issues, the most serious was nearly 4 feet of wiring that had to be replaced in the attic because the builders electrician had dragged it through the staples And stripped down to bar metal. How did my first inspector miss this, but more importantly, how did the contractor think? This was OK to leave because it was highly obvious if he climbed up in the attic and walked to the far end of the house. I've never been up there because I'm an old lady going through cancer treatment and the builder actually had the nerve to accuse me of going up there and stripping the wire in my own home. A live wire, yeah, right! Needless to say, the builder did send the electrician back out within a couple of days. The electrician replaced the wire and refused to give me my piece of wire he removed, which is evidence. Now the builder won't do anything about the other items so apparently I'm going to have to sue him . I already reported to the state contractors license board, but I could not have discovered all of these issues had it not been for my fabulous inspector at Atlas home inspections. While I'm upset with what he found, I'm eternally grateful that at least somebody paid attention and did the job I paid them to do. I feel like for the fee incurred, this gentleman went way above and beyond and I truly do appreciate that.

Do not use! Unreliable, poor communication, and not professional in any way! They told me they…read moreoffer a free diagnostic evaluation, so I asked them to come look at our pipes that were allowing debris to back into the tub. The next thing I know, the employee was calling me to tell me he got his camera/hose stuck in the pipe and the only way to get it out would be to dig up the entire plumbing system and replace it... costing $2500 (He actually gave me over 4 different prices, going back and forth on what all was included for each price, but none of them actually adding up. It's like he was just throwing random numbers out and they dont have actual fees set for what they offer). I called the office, requesting to speak with the manager or owner to make sure they knew I didn't want the plumbing system left in worse shape than it was when they got there (long story short, IT WAS) and that we were not interested in a $2500 repair right now. The receptionist said that she would give him my number and he would call me.. he never did. My husband and I talked about it and decided to go ahead and have the repair done, so I called and asked for a written quote... I never got it. I called back, requesting one again, and still never got one. I called back a third time and was told "I meant to call you but got sidetracked. I we are no longer able to do your repair." So to summarize, they came out to look at and tell me what was wrong with a pipe, got a piece of equipment stuck in it, rendering it non-functional, and then said that they can't fix a problem they created? AVOID AT ALL COSTS! This business is run in the most irresponsible way. Not to be trusted!
