OMG! Best. Massage. EVER! Got a 2 hour massage from Amber Grace after I raced in the Stinger Classic mountain bike race. Every single spot of my body was aching. I expected a fairly routine sports massage to break up the facia. Instead, it was this amazing experience of the most intense massage I've ever had in my life. Not only was she able to properly treat all the usual sore spots that plague most cyclists, but added in a number of stretching methods that I've never been treated with. Also, she used a locally brewed CBD oil that was magical in its ability to relieve muscle pain. In short, Amber has raised massage to the level of an art form. Oh man. If I could give Heather 6 stars I would! The place is in a funky cool old Victorian house with a neat ambiance, but don't go in expecting a spa. We got a 90 minute couples' massage from Heather and Rich, and loved every minute of it. I asked Heather for very firm pressure, and she totally kicked my butt (in a good way!). I was in a lot of pain after hiking the upper falls in a fast pace and desperately needed a massage. My husband booked me an hour massage here and I'm so unbelievably grateful. Mara was my therapist and she is seriously straight from heaven. Ive never had a better massage in my life . I've had many and I can never fully relax. I almost fell asleep on her table. She didn't spend too much or too little time in one spot. I wish we lived here so I could go see her on a regular basis. Mara is absolutely amazing. I wanted to change my appointment so I left Ali a message and she called me back within a few hours and said I could change my appointment. She was very nice and professional. Now the best part-CHAD! He worked out all the tightness in my neck and also worked out some glute tightness I've had for months. He was thorough and regularly asked me how the pressure was. We are in Steamboat this weekend for our wedding anniversary. Kneading Hands Therapy was an awesome splurge. Not only did they squeeze us in for a couples massage, but both therapists were very attentive to our different needs. I have chronic pain and back issues and I left my appointment being able to actually stand up straight (it's been a while!). This was our first time in town and I needed a strong massage. Selected Kneading Hands because of the Yelp reviews. I booked a 90 minute massage with Katelyn. I hadn't seen her name on the reviews so I was hoping she's be as good as those mentioned. It was fantastic. I have real neck issues and trouble with range of motion. A lot of massages that I've gotten have felt good but I don't notice much difference afterward. Not so with this one. Katelyn really worked me over and was able to pinpoint key areas and I felt a huge difference afterward. An excellent massage by Colleen! Such a relaxing environment at Kneading Hands located in an old home. When you walk in, there are essential oils for sale, tea and lotions, and you can smell the lavender aroma. My friend and I were able to get in the day-of, which is a huge plus when you're on vacation and not on a schedule! Kneading Hands is located in a beautiful old house right downtown Steamboat, and everyone who works there is very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly! Mary gave me an incredible Swedish massage! The whole experience was just overall very nice. Clean rooms, wonderful oils, a great masseuse, and... one of the best prices in Steamboat! A full hour massage was only $85! Also, they offer a ton of cool other services. I will definitely go back on future visits to Steamboat to enjoy some of those! One other thing that was a huge perk was that while I waited for my friend's massage, the receptionist recommended a cute local coffee shop just a few steps down the road. I own a coffee shop and bakery, and stepping into this one was such a great experience! I'm picky, and the espresso was delicious! This place is a gem! My mom-in-law and I both had 90 min deep tissue massages this January, she with Leah and I with Chad and both of us came out completely rejuvenated! She added CBD oil option, I added essential oils option and we both think they are well worth the additional price, as they really enhance the overall experience! My massage therapist, Chad was amazing: knowledgable, very intuitive in finding the problem areas and with a great approach where he gradually increases the depth/intensity of the body work where needed, so your body has a chance to slowly yield and open up instead of tensing up/fighting against the bodywork. I can't say enough great things about his technique and strong hands - we went really deep in our session, since I really needed it, yet I walked out feeling instantly rejuvenated and not at all sore.
