I finally found Ania through an Instagram search and quickly booked an appointment with her as she was very responsive over email! From the moment I pulled up in my car, I immediately felt welcomed and comfortable. Ania greeted me and brought me into her beautiful studio. I had brought so many things to wear but I could have brought nothing as she has a whole wardrobe of maternity clothing. I wanted the black turtleneck dress, so we started with that one. Taking the pictures was so easy. I received feedback on where to look and how to move from Ania and the woman working with her that I am blanking on her name. They would stop after a few pictures to show me how they looked so I had a sneak peek. Ania asked a lot of questions about what I wanted when it came to lighting, outfits, poses, etc. I never felt pressured to do anything cheesy or anything that I didn't like. My boyfriend was running late, so I was worried we wouldn't get a ton of pictures with him, but Ania was so patient. We ended up going a little over the hour and a half assigned, and I also had five outfit changes instead of four. She really wanted me to have a lot of options and looks to choose from! Within a day I had the gallery of photos, and only three days after I chose the photos, I had the final edited photos back! It was so fast, and they all look so great. I've already had a photo book printed, and the photos look phenomenal. I am so impressed. It was exactly what I was looking for!

We all have facebook friends that fit that certain stereotype. You know...the bragger, the…read morepartier, the politico, and of course, the liker -- the person that likes everything anyone and everyone posts. Personally, I'm a lurker. I check it daily but I post minimally. However, I finally lived out the liker lifestyle when I saw my wedding photos taken by Blend. Seriously, I was 'Liking' all over the place! Blend Photography consists of a husband and wife team, whose artistic vision blends (see what I did there!?!) to deliver the perfect results for your event. Together, they were able to create the exact look and feel I was looking for and capture all those important moments of the big day. I found Blend Photography through a simple Yelp search...thanks again, Yelp! I was panicky and frazzled. I just did an engagement session with another photographer, I was less than thrilled. Very, very less than thrilled! So I started searching and calling. Jen from Blend quickly returned my call and called my nerves immediately. Yes, they had my date open and yes, she could meet with me to discuss my event and 'vision.' Already, I was confident in my choice...I loved what I saw online, I loved that she could make me feel comfortable immediately over the phone and I loved that she was willing to work with my hectic schedule. And after a meet and greet, I realized I was very, very confident with Blend. Our engagement session took place during an evening following a super hot day. Unfortunately, we kept having to reschedule because of the heat wave we were having during that time. I so glad we kept on rescheduling...no one wants to look at photos of a sweaty, kissy couple with frizzy hair. Luckily, the evening we took the photos was perfect, even though it was still warm. Jen and Rob had some great ideas in mind for shots and locations but also made sure to capture the spots that my guy and I wanted as well. And then our big day came. Leading up to the wedding day, Jen kept in touch via email to solidify the details of the actual day. She also made sure to find out which shots/poses/locations were most important to me. Both Jen and Rob wielded cameras that day, making sure to capture every moment from multiple angles. They definitely caught some great shots, but made sure to stay unobtrusive during the most important moments. And most importantly, they stayed very respectful of the flow and traditions of the wedding and the synagogue. A few weeks later, I was finally able to see the amazing shots on their website. They also promptly had a disc and a letter granting me rights to reproduce the photos waiting for me as soon as it was ready. Unfortunately, the wedding album did take some time to get to me -- however this was because of some issues with their lab. The wait was long, but in the end it was worth it -- the photobook was great. Just a tip though -- make sure your let them know of every shot you want/need. They are not mind readers and because of that mistake on my part, I feel like I lost out on a shot of an important custom from the ceremony. So yea, I'm definitely happy I chose Blend to be part of my big day. I guess its more than just 'like' -- its 'love' when it comes to the great photos to remind me of that amazing day.

I contacted Enchanted Photography after reading favorable reviews for her equine photography and looking at many of her sample images online. The first thing I deeply appreciated about Marla is that because of an injury with our horse we didn't know how much time we would have with her, and Marla made room in her schedule to photograph my family with our horse on fairly short notice. The second thing I appreciated was the communication from start to finish. We always knew what was going on and had everything in writing. Marla also gave suggestions on what to wear and why and had us tweak our outfits before the shoot. The third thing I appreciated was how professional she was during the shoot, while at the same time personable and thoughtful, and how she worked to capture the essence of the relationship between my daughter and our horse and the dynamic between family members for family photos. It was a hectic day for my family, but Marla somehow helped everything flow smoothly. She was a natural with the horses at the barn and was so sweet to our mare. The fourth thing I appreciated was that she made us go to her studio to view the photos and choose them at the viewing. At first I thought this was an imposition. I was wrong! This is absolutely the best part of the whole process because she helped us narrow down our choices and choose the best of the best (because they're all great!). What a blessing! I am certain I'd still be looking at the pictures and trying to decide which to choose and which to leave behind. The fifth thing I appreciated is that she had samples of everything we could choose from at her studio, so we knew what we would be getting. The sixth thing I appreciated is that the photos we purchased are beyond GORGEOUS. We all love, love, love them! The last thing I appreciated is that there were two images that needed a little touching up after she sent us the finished product and she touched them up and had them back to us lightning fast. We are exceedingly happy with Enchanted Photography and with Marla. Her pricing is indicative of her experience and what she offers as a professional and gifted artist. In all honesty, had I looked at the pricing before the photo shoot, it might have scared me away, and I am SO glad that didn't happen. After going through the process and receiving the finished product, I cannot recommend Marla and Enchanted Photography enough. We absolutely got what we paid for and more, and we hope to have the opportunity to work with her again.

The good: Holly is excellent on the day of wedding. She is…read morecalm, cheery, creative, directive, and an excellent communicator. One thing that I appreciated hearing from her is that anytime I needed a break, I could let her know. That gave me a lot of ease and I felt comfortable telling her when I needed a break or when things were too much. She's very intuitive in that way. She let the bridal party take breaks and she checked in with me when needed about what was next. She worked well with other vendors. Her close up photography is outstanding with details...ties, jewelry, vows, you name it. Outstanding and incredible. Overall, communication was decent leading up to the wedding. She reliably responded to emails within 24 hrs business day which I appreciated because many of my vendors weren't that way. The not so good: Holly uses a clunky program to communicate via email with her clients. Even though she reliably responded within 24 hours, searching our emails with her and viewing things like our invoice and our contract was a pain. You have to create usernames and passwords, and reading previous emails with her were a mess to search and read. Her program isn't user/client friendly. I am totally 100% for businesses to document things in writing so I get why she uses the program, but it's just a poor program. The best case in point about this is that the program automatically generated an email to my fiance and I about a due final payment to be paid online. At first we thought this was helpful so we faithfully paid the remaining balance online. But then we got a panicked email from Holly saying our contract says we needed to pay cash or check and that there are huge service fees for paying credit card. It ended up being a huge pain for both us and Holly to figure out...we were irritated (as was she!) About the fact that we were asked to pay online by credit card. When I pay...I don't generally look back at the contract and read the fine print about whether to pay cash or check...not when I'm juggling multiple vendors and multiple contracts and payment due dates. The contract in it of itself is not easily accessible without having to dig In a myriad of emails to find the login for the website and then actually login. Finally, Holly's pricing covers up to 8 hours of photography. At the end of the day I kind of wish I went with a photographer that covered whole day photography instead. We had to pay an extra hefty sum to get Holly to stay and take pictures of our reception and our sparkler exit. The reception pictures we had to pay extra for were golden and so treasured because there were things that went on during our reception that we didn't even know but she captured wonderfully. The sparkler photos were kind of a disappointment and didn't look great (people were too spaced out, the framing of the photos were poor). The extra money we had to pay for Holly to stay a couple extra hours were worth it mostly for the dancing photos and group photos she took, but definitely not the sparkler photos...which kind of made me wonder if it would have been better for us to pay for a photographer that included whole day services. Overall we do recommend Holly as she is a great day of photographer. There are a couple things we wished were different but nothing absolutely groundbreaking. We received our photos about 1-2 months after our date and there were about 1,000 photos! Some of them were duds as expected but some will end up on the wall!
