"Do you think I like to walk around the San Ysidro streets looking at "beware of people crawling and sneaking into Ameican soil" signs on every block? "Yes, I did; just to get a laugh and chuckle on the road signs. Without doing any research of the final southern city of California, my stay was very brief. But I did ran into this unique produce market. The produce market sells fresh produce items and fresh meats, domestic and imported items that is the best of both worlds. Don't expect the aging and dirty store to be as nice as Andronico's or Draeger's, the store sells simple foods for simple needs. One item that I saw at the market that I don't see back home is: Hostess Choco-dile. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/8FLZpwigscGCP5XM7tFBcQ?select=40nvtknpir6chKf3PzgYww Yes, I came ALL the way to the near Mexico-border and spend $.59 on a single Choco-dile... Horrible customer service!…read more Last night, my wife and I went there to place an order for a medium rosca with cream for $44.99. We paid for the order and were given a receipt with a 4:30 PM pickup time. I got there at 4:30 PM today, picked up the rosca, and headed home. When I got home, we cut into the rosca and they gave me one with no cream which normally sells for $24.99 ($20 less than the one with cream). We took the rosca back, showed the guy behind the counter the receipt and the original rosca that he gave us, and he told us that we can come back at 7 PM to pick up the new rosca with cream. My wife and I went back at 7 PM and we were then told that the rosca was just being put in the oven and to come back at 8 PM to pick it up. We didn't want to deal with going back and forth anymore and asked for our money back and the gentleman behind the counter with a white earbud returned our money. No apologies were given at all! Because of this experience, my wife and I will not be returning! We ended up going to Moreliana Bakery directly next door and got our rosca from there and it was delicious!
