Memmingen!!
Came…read morehere on a very cold September morning to catch my train to Munchen aka Munich for Oktoberfest! Almost everything was closed at 7 am. It was a Friday! I don't think they opened till 8 or 9 am. And you do need to stay inside. September is freezing in Germany. I came from Rome in short dress and heels. If it weren't for that little café , I would've froze before I boarded that train.
The station is small, cozy and efficient. The train came on time! Exactly at 8:05 am I believe. The café had hot coffee, cappuccinos and German pastries! it's probably their equivalent to 7-eleven but the donuts/ pastries were pretty tasty. Well that's how you know you are in Germany anyways. Everything tasted good.
I wish they have heaters inside the space or even outside. But don't think they did. Not for inside walk ways at least. If that building/café wasn't opened....wouldn't been a long hour plus wait in the cold. Still was a long, quiet wait! But the pastries helped!
