- Yes, this hospital is extremely frequented, so in general I would always expect to wait (up to multiple hours) as a patient depending on why you come here - even if you have an appointment.
- If you're looking for cutting-edge treatment - this is the place to be. That is also the reason why it is so frequented despite the waiting time.
- The hospital is basically always under renovation, but the finished parts look very modern and nice. There are several buildings which are under construction at any point of time.
- There is truly a lack of restaurants, coffee places, and snackbars. Your best option is the new Piazza Doro in the main building (House 23) on the first floor to your right.
- The layout of the hospital campus is cramped and even employees do not necessarily know where which building is located - so always look for the public maps.
- At least there is ample parking at acceptable costs but you are not able to drop somebody off in front of the main building (they changed this) - so expect to walk a bit.
Overall, you come here for cutting-edge treatment and the 24/7 emergency room. Many things could be better, but it is still a huge OK hospital. Get well soon!
