A disconcertingly complete waste of time after signing their representation agreement and acceptance of our case. There were unexplained delays and a complete lack of timely communication, and we were constantly chasing our tails to no avail--a perfect storm that resulted in a massive shipwreck. The writing was on the wall, and we wished that we could have recognized the impending doom earlier to save the ship. Obviously, this firm didn't want to stay the course, expending their resources under a contingency arrangement, and picked a very weak excuse to bail out. The bottom line is that there is not enough money in it to pursue leaving the clients high and dry well down the road. Professional ethics are completely lacking; we were bamboozled to the highest degree. We should have sought representation elsewhere!

This lawyer is a man of many excuses who took on a case he couldn't handle on a contingency basis because, in a nutshell, it wasn't worth his costs or the resource commitment. Over time, this bombastic personality, who was supposed to represent my wife, who signed and accepted a case and contingency fee agreement with Freibott, and who allowed the representation to sour through me (as my wife's personal representative) because of his personal vendetta of accusations and a plethora of excuses. As an example, in his multitude of excuses to find a convenient way out of representation, in his own words, after many months of providing critical documents to no avail, one of his excuses, and I quote, was, "In no way can I ever be short-changed economically when I need certain expenses for litigation." The contingency agreement turned into an out-of-pocket client cost for representation, and, unfortunately, we fell into his trap, agreeing to retain a doctor as an expert witness with a $5,000 retainer that went nowhere. This and many similar excuses permeated his termination letter. Months wasted through the lack of client feedback, always prompting him to respond, and the lackadaisical staff and third-party involvement. We really learned the hard way, putting our trust in someone who failed us measurably.
