Been with Washington Alarm 1 year now so I thought I'd leave a review. Sales and installation were flawless, even though there were a lot of customizations for our house, they kept coming back to tweak this or that. They spent lots of time with us figuring out how best to secure the house and where sensors would actually be needed. When I wanted to add a Zwave thermostat, they came out and helped me do it for no charge. When I needed to put sensors in the garage, they activated them and configured my system remotely, saving me a lot of debugging time. No charge for that either. When I call them, a person answers immediately and is always helpful. They have that "small company" feel and everyone I've dealtwith there knows their stuff, and is always eager to work with me with whatever it is. I've recommended them to a couple of friends and they haven't complained (so far). Everything about these guys is 5 stars. read more

I've had a malfunctioning alarm which Washington Alarm has been unable to fix, yet they keep billing for service calls to try and fix the same problem. I've written to their service manager sfoster@washingtonalarm.com with NO RESPONSE. Be weary of this company. By the way, I've been with them for 3 decades. Time to go elsewhere. read more

Zero stars. They conducted a fire alarm testing in our condo and somehow completed a four floor condo building in about five minutes. They came to our unit and confirmed us but somehow didn't mark our unit as inspected. So they're coming back to our unit out of the entire building, making US look stupid due to their incompetent record keeping. What else are they doing wrong if they can't keep records straight? read more

My family had used WA Alarm for decades without issues until recently. The service over the last year+ gets less than one star. Everything that could go wrong, went wrong. Every person that works there has no idea what the person sitting next them is doing. I could go on and on, but what is the point? This review has a lot of company. Do NOT use them. Been with them for more than a decade. There was a time when they were the best in Seattle. They still have great technicians, and a one or two in dispatch that carry their weight...but the management is a clown car. They hang up on you. Send you to voicemails that don't respond. Really sad. They used to be a really good company. They need competent management, and they totally don't have it. read more

This company is quick to charge you for something, but takes their time when it comes to meeting their own requirements. I was just charged an outrageous fee $175 and $17.86 sales tax because their installed system wasn't communicating with them. It took less than 30 seconds for the tech to fix the problem. They are required to come out annually and inspect my camera system and adjust and clean it. However, they haven't bothered. Perhaps I should charge them $300 for their failure to upkeep the maintenance. I have ADT for my home, and the moment this contract is up with Washington Alarm, I will be switching to ADT. If you want to get ripped off - use Washington Alarm. read more

Our company has had Washington Alarm for several years and the service has continued to decline. It takes weeks to get a response, and then only after multiple attempts. New equipment installs continue to fail. Upgrades requested took two months to get an estimate, only after paying the deposit did Washington Alarm indicate it will take another three months before they can install the upgrades. We are moving services. Would not recommend. read more

Completely ignored! We had their sales rep out to a house in need of an new alarm system and he promised to get back to us by Friday that week. 3 weeks later we've left him two messages, left the sales department two messages and even called to ask to a manager and left him a message both as a voicemail and as a written note from whoever answered the phone. It was an easy sell and we were about to make a pretty big order with multiple devices and cameras that are now going to Absolute Alarm, another local company who actually answers the phone. read more

The general manager, Phil Bonstein, is so helpful without me even asking! I am doing a big remodel that includes an addition and he was so nice to take the time to look over my blueprints and the City of Bellevue's permit notes to make sure I don't do more than I have to. Unlike another fire/security company that I contacted, Klepps is willing to allow an electrician to install the wired smoke alarms and have it connect to the Klepps main controls which should save us a few dollars. I highly recommend Klepps, and especially working with Phil. He's the best! read more

We had them install an alarm system on our commercial building several months ago, it didn't go well. First, they had scheduling issues, then they had technical issues, then just when things seemed to be working, our primary account log-in was lost (by them, somewhere in their system) - it has been months and we still can't access our system online (they just say to use the keypad .. try programming in user info and rules using a keypad .. ridiculous!). I'd give them zero stars but yelp doesn't allow it! read more

The house we bought had WA alarm company tech already installed so we made several calls to see about restoring service. After the 4th call and no response, we gave up. Not sure what the confusion was, but there seem to be more responsive companies who want our business. read more

Sales rep failed to follow up twice; on the original bid and later when we called to have their alarm installed. Talked with rep, who was going to call back in a couple hours with a date for installation, never heard back. That was it for us, if the company cannot follow through on the sale how would they be for service once installed. Don't waste your time with this company. We went with My Alarm Co. which did a terrific job on installation and service. read more

I've been with Washington Alarm for almost 5 years now, and their service and procedures are the best in the Puget Sound! There prices are reasonable. When we err during arrival or departure at our home and the alarm goes off, the operators are efficient and completely verify that everything is okay and that we're the people to whom they should be talking. When something goes wrong when we're away, we're called immediately, walked through issue, and given a clear option regarding whether to dispatch police or not. These have been occasions like forgetting to close a window or our cat accidentally left inside the house and therefore triggering the motion sensors. Regarding service, I had a minor issue with a door detector recently, and Washington Alarm sent out a tech promptly who seemed to fix the issue and provide some useful advise about the system This is a local company whose operators are local, and they therefore understand local issues. They know if there's been a storm and power outages, which is something that you cannot say about their competitors. If you're thinking about a new alarm system, I strongly suggest calling Washington Alarm! :) read more

While the hardware/system in my home wasn't from Washington Alarm, my services and upgrades have been. I find their service personable and responsive, I've been treated very well whenever I've had needed assistance. I switched from a landline device to cellular and while one shouldn't rate a business on this, the installer was a total fox and the genuinely nicest service person I've ever worked with. While it's always been user error (house sitters mostly) that has triggered alerts, I appreciate the prompt calls from their Seattle monitoring office. They have done a great job explaining what triggered it and my options. read more

We were extremely disappointed with Washington Alarm! We called on Thursday but didn't get a call back. Then four days later we sent an email and finally got a response. When the sales person came to our house all he did was draw a diagram and take some photos. He never even went over their equipment or monitoring services. Then to top it off he didn't send the estimate over when he said he would. How can you trust a security company to protect your home when they don't call you back or follow through when they say they will! read more

I hired Klepps, inc to install a home theater system in house as well as the TV in my bedroom and speakers on my patio. Daniel was very knowledgable in the speakers, the wiring and the install. He installed all the equipment in a closet so it would give the rooms a cleaner look without losing any functions of the cable boxes or stereo. The surround sound is crisp and fits the room perfectly. He even came to my house, with little notice, on a Saturday to replace a cable on the TV he originally wanted to replace when he was installing it but I thought it would be ok. Since a detailed review was marked not recommended (take a look below, follow the link at the bottom of the reviews) - I'll be more succinct and less detailed. Washington alarm is troublingly vague with their quotes, has poor follow up, indicates that their systems are more expensive because they are up front with their pricing, then after install informs you that the equipment is "leased". The installs have been troublesome and have had subcontractors out that don't know how to set up the systems properly. If this is the case you would be better off with a "National" company - they wont give any better service but at least you will get a $199 install with a 3 year agreement instead of a multi thousand dollar install that has a 3-year agreement and turns out to be a lease. I'm just very disappointed in Washington Alarm, with the continuing runaround in dealing with them in a service dispute. read more

Wow! These guys are amazing. They were so responsive and competitively priced, it blew me away! Their customer service was out of this world and I can't say enough good things about these guys. Phil Bonstein and the rest of the crew are amazing. You can't go wrong with Klepps! They did my fire alarm install for my business, but they also do wiring for sound systems, security systems, home theaters - you name it. Next time I need any of that stuff done, these guys will be the first company I call. read more

WA Alarm handles the security at our photography studio and has for years. We recently had to have our system updated and were very impressed at how efficiently they handled the process. We received updates via email regarding our ticket number and technician. They even sent us notification and a picture of the tech when he was on his way. It's great to know that our business is protected by such a professional company. read more
