The Bremen City Musicians NEVER made it to Bremen. I want to point that out before I talk about…read morethis statue IN Bremen. This statue is one of those things that you go to see when you go to a city to check the box. Everyone else is also there doing the same thing. The queueing system is inexistent and very disorganized. You have to wait until you can jump in to rub the foot and get a photo. People are super annoying and they linger in the frame while waiting for the photo, thus ruining your photo by being in it. This is not the statue's fault, but be prepared to be annoyed too by rude people. The statue has a base so it is tall for smaller children. One plus side for this statue is the location. If you are going to see it, you will be in the center of Bremen and in a good position to venture on and explore the city.

I've always loved the story of the Musicians of Bremen. So when I visited the city, of course I had…read moreto check out this sculpture. There isn't much to it. A visit involves looking at the statue, taking a photo, and moving on. But what more do you want? It's a really nice statue, and is also used on the logo of the city, so it has a lot of significance. When I was there, there was a football match between Werder Bremen and Schalke 04, and some Schalke fans threw their scarf onto the animals- controversial! The beautiful city of Bremen is a place you must visit, and the Stadtmusikanten statue is a simple and worthwhile place to stop off while you're there.

We did purchase a short English guide pamphlet that helped us follow along on the tour. No photos allowed unless you prepay an extra 5 euro, which honestly would have been worth it for how beautiful the palace is. They also have a riding school with stable tour included in the tour and an exquisite mausoleum that was breathtaking to visit.

it was a nice recommendation from my colleague to come here and get out Bielefeld for couple hours…read more We were just in time for their spring market - you had to pay 15 euros as an adult to get in, but you also get a free visit to the Schloss. This place is good for kids and family, of course, also ideal for a couple like us. Inside the park, there are about 200 vendors. Most of them are selling clothes, flowers, and food/cafe. All the clothes are more for elders, but it was still nice to walk around and see some small stuff from the locals. What I love about this spring market was that people truly dress up as sailors or beach styles to match the scene of the fair. It was a great people watching time :) The food and coffee stands were also fine; you could sit on their fake sand beach, and just enjoy people watching and the beautiful weather! Most of the shops here are not over price, which was also a real plus! As what I know, their Christmas market is even more awesome - especially the Schloss (Castle) will be lighted up by tons of beautiful Christmas light bulbs. If you have a change, don't forget to check out their website and come! http://www.schloss-bueckeburg.de/
