This place is such a cute find. I arrived in Nîmes late and was circling for a non-touristy place…read moreto eat/ wasn't swarming with people so I wouldn't be totally rejected as a single walk-in. I finally found this place. It's a shame this place doesn't have more reviews. The food is amazing and the service and people working there are sweet. The waitress took the time to explain the menu to me even though she totally didn't have to. You can order a la carry or as a set menu. I grabbed the appetizer with what she recommended. The first was a magnificent soft-boiled egg with fennel, mango, and a coconut black curry. So perfect and special. The second was a pork sausage with these cute mashed potatoes which were slightly (and perfectly) firmer shapes as peeled potatoes. They were lightly crusted with pistachios served with an amazing, AMAZING (I can't emphasize this enough) FENNEL cream. On top of this, the waitress and waiter (though I think they're the owners) were super nice and sweet to me. They were chatting it up causally with their patrons, sitting with them in between. They had nice smiles, which was greatly appreciated for this solo female traveler who had a long, and trying day. If I ever stop in Nîmes again, I will come here. I hope others will, too.

The sauce, which I normally avoid, was sensational. But the dessert, a soufflé, was exquisite. I have never tasted anything so sublime. Highly recommend this restaurant.
