Great half-term offerings. Well planned and exceptional with the kids. Loads of fun!

And the pudding with the overnight oatmeal soak was extremely disappointing. Could do a lot better and I know because I have had way better here previously.

What a wonderful way to spend an evening!…read more Two films (usually with a theme running between them) for £7.50. SEVEN FIFTY!! Last night's was a Joaquin Phoenix double bill, showing Walk The Line followed by Two Lovers. While we ended up skipping the first film and just having dinner, the price is still very reasonable. We shared a lovely bottle of wine outside on the terrace (had to sit on the wall though as all the tables were full) with amazing views of the river and Hammersmith Bridge. Back inside for dinner, which we shared: a large mezze platter and some mushroom bruschetta, both of which were delicious and just enough. The cinema itself is what every cinema should be: small and dark, with the seats on an incline so everyone can see. They showed the previews and ads WAY before the start time (PERFECT!!), even drew the curtains in between the previews and the film itself (DRAMATIC!!). Riverside has much more to offer than just a restaurant and a cinema... it also shows stand-up comedy, has a fully functioning tv studio where they film live shows, a theatre for live music, and art exhibitions. A wonderful space with quality at every turn.

The main reason I moved to London back in 2001 was to study at LAMDA. This is predominantly a drama…read moreschool, but I had been accepted for the 2 year Stage Management & Technical Theatre Course. I was expecting so much from this course, I was really looking forward to studying here. It seemed really hands one, which I preferred and what drew me to the course but I was disappointed within months of studying here. The most important thing that prospective students should know about the Stage Management course is that the school *do not* encourage you to work outside the course as it is very demanding. This is hard if you've just moved to London, have spent thousands of pounds on fees and have no extra money to live on. I found this really taxing on both my freedom and my wallet! The actual course itself had elements I did actually enjoy like the museum trips and the visits to other theatres and getting to see all the action backstage. There were far too many boring / technical elements to the course, which I really didn't enjoy. I felt the course could have been a little more creative - the art and audio elements of the course were really enjoyable. Overall, the lack of creativity bored me and the controlling element (the fact you are expected to give up work and a social life!) really annoyed me, so much so that I left within 4 months. If you are totally set on being a Stage Manager, then you should come here. They have good contacts and a solid reputation. Their drama course produces really talented actors and is not to be scoffed at but if you agree to all my points about, you should really think about applying elsewhere...

The building and location were convenient and work space well laid out. The instructors, Adriana and Andrea, were phenomenal. I really appreciate how they took the time to explain technique and variations that can be applied at home. Also, the staff on hand to help with set-up and clean-up were amazing. They were always available to assist and contributed a great deal to the good experience. -I wish I had someone to prepare all my ingredients and wash dishes at home! My only complaint is related to the temperamental ovens. An oven can make or break all the hard work that goes into preparing a dish. Technique and materials went out the door with uneven, inaccurate ovens. Leiths offers such a wide variety of classes so I'll likely sign-up again...for a class that doesn't require an oven.

To my surprise the class had over 40 people of all ages and professions And the day was so organised, starting with the theory part of baking, the tea, coffee and tasty lunch breaks To the kitchen itself All ingredients were ready on stations, instructors were helpful and washing up was so prompt I remember nothing but perfection of that day and the lovely bread, cheese and jam I was given to take with me home. If I can get myself on another cooking workshop (seems to be very hard to sign in these days all fully booked) I will be the happiest
