I made a reservation for Brunch on a Sunday for 2 people, my friend got there 20 minutes before our reservation which was at 12:30pm. I was 10 minutes behind her but she told them about our reservation and they sat her at a table right away. I got there about 12:20pm. We didn't get waters or menu's for about 20 minutes, then I noticed the waitress sat a gentleman next to our table and gave him a menu and brought utensils and water. We were about to ask her for a menu but she walked away quickly. Another 10 minutes passed and nothing still, we were debating on just leaving - LUCKILY, it seemed to be the busser Keith asked us if we've been helped yet, we said no and we've been here for over 30 minutes now and had a reservation... he right away got us waters and asked if we wanted to order and he would take care of us. He also apologized for the wait, he noticed we were still sitting and wanted to make sure we were good. I told him we were just about to leave since no one was helping us.. after Keith took our order I noticed the table next to us that came in after us getting their food. I wasn't sure why the waitress wasn't helping us and it took the busser to notice. Keith was great, it was our first time here and it almost was going to be a horrible experience but he turned it around and made it a great experience. We were there 10 minutes after they opened and the first customers. The server seemed friendly enough but was very focused on getting the restaurant set up. So much that our food sat on the counter waiting to be brought out. Not because she was swamped but because she was busy getting ready for the day. Consequently, the food was cold and would have been better if it was hot and fresh. Customers should come first, period. You can sweep and do whatever you need to do once your customers are taken care of and that should be a given. I really wanted to like this place but if the staff came in earlier to get ready or prioritized the customers, it would be a better experience. Maybe more than one waitress is needed in the morning? I came here this morning with a group of friends based off the good reviews we saw on social media. The ambiance was nice, but I definitely got the impression that this is a spot that wants to look "picture perfect". I liked the music selection but at times, it would get too loud and it felt like I was yelling at my friends just to have a conversation with them. Moving on to the food and drinks, two of my friends ordered the mimosa flight which they enjoyed and me and my other friend shared the coffee flight. We were so excited but once we tried those drinks, we were highly disappointed. We tried the mocha, caramel, hazelnut and vanilla flavor. Each drink was WAY too sweet and only one of the drinks was actually iced. I'm not sure if that was intentional based on the flavors or if it was something that was forgotten. It took awhile for our food to come out after placing the order but I appreciated that they were able to turn one of the omelets into a scramble. Once the food arrived, it was genuinely not good at all. I got the Sactown omelette (turned scramble) and it had no flavor at all and the presentation of it just didn't look that appetizing. It looked like they added the toppings after making the scramble instead of mixing it all together. I could not finish my food which was disappointing as their prices are on the higher side. This place popped up on my IG so we decided to go this place. We got there around 1 & the place was busy and the wait was about an hour and half. We got seated around 3 (yes that was a long wait)! We started with the drinks which were very good. I ordered from the secret menu and I got the fried catfish with greens & my boyfriend ordered the sliders and wings. We ordered Ube waffles, eggs Benedict, French toast and shrimp and grits. My friends and I have been trying to check out Kitchen 15 for months because it looks so good on Instagram. We finally went and I can say that the food does taste as good as it looks! We shared the mini ube waffles, which are on their special menu you can see online (not on the printed menu). They were yummy and I appreciated the sliced bananas and kiwi. I also had the egg Benedict, which was delicious. You get a choice of potatoes or hash browns. I liked that it also came with a little salad - I love pickled onions! My friend enjoyed her breakfast sandwich. My other friend wasn't a huge fan of the steak salad, so maybe just stick to their brunch items. Wouldn't bother ordering any of their fried chicken dishes. The waffle and french toast were the only good things there. The mac and cheese was cold by the time it reached our table. If there's a party of 5 or more, it's an automatic tip l, which was $25, and the service was so bad. We didn't even get out waiter for about 5-10mins, and when she came with the menus, we had to wait for 15 mins just to order our food. I have been pretty excited to come eat here after seeing a lot of their Instagram posts! The inside is a lot smaller than I expected but we didn't have any issues getting a table right away at 10am on a Sunday. The entrance is confusing because there are two sets of doors, so the one we came in just led to the dining room. The set up looks like you order at the counter and then sit down, but then once we got up there he took us to a table and gave us menus there. A bit confusing but in the end it worked out! Also the actual printed menu doesn't have everything - you have to scan the QR code to see even more drinks and chefs specials! They should just do the QR code and get rid of the partial menu. There were some items we would've gotten on the online menu that we didn't see on the paper menu! I picked the eggs benedict for my meal and was super excited about a runny egg yolk...only to receive two completely hard boiled yolks :( Super bummed about that! Overall flavor was nothing spectacular and the only thing that added flavor were the pickled onions. I shared the ube waffles with my friend (we didn't see the ube French toast until after our order was taken!) which was the winning dish! I loved the ube sauce with it, and it didn't even need syrup! I ordered a coffee flight to go with my meal. When they dropped it off, she didn't say what each one was. So I had to ask again and the girl didn't know, but then our server walked up, and she still wasn't even really sure. The drinks were all on the sweeter side. My favorite was the vanilla one. It's a cute little flight and good way to get a little variety if you want to split with somebody but otherwise the actual drinks are nothing special. The online menu did show a ton of drink flights though so that's fun if you're looking for alcoholic or non alcoholic options. Overall the food was pretty but nothing extra memorable. The decors, drinks and food from what I saw at other tables were very instagramable, but I wouldn't recommend unless you have all the time in the world to wait for your food. After waitlisting on Yelp, it took about 30 minutes to get seated so not too bad for a Sunday morning at 11am. The waitress kept saying she'll come by, but it took over 40minutes to get our order in. While waiting, someone is there taking photos and she will print it out, frame it and try to sell it to you for $20 a piece. We tried Kitchen 15 on a Sunday afternoon. Before we arrived, we went on the Yelp waitlist and only waited about 10 minutes afterwards. Total wait time was probably only 20-30 minutes. I recommend coming earlier to eat because it was quite busy and some utensils and glassware can be unavailable due to the volume of dishes that needed to be washed. There can be big parties because it is a great place for celebrations, bottomless mimosas, and drinking. The vibe outside seemed to be a bit more calmer than the inside, which had a bustling environment. The inside was much more crowded and hectic. The restaurant is a bit weirdly-shaped and narrow. There are tables nearby the entrance so there was not much standing room and felt like we were in the way, no matter where we stood while we waited for our table. We started off with a latte flight while we looked at what we wanted to order. The latte flight contained: caramel latte, chocolate latte, vanilla latte, and Irish cream. My ranking from best to worst: Irish Cream, Vanilla Latte, Chocolate Latte, Caramel Latte My companion's ranking: Irish Cream, Chocolate Latte, Vanilla Latte, Caramel Latte The whip cream on the drinks were light and airy. I liked it quite a bit. The caramel latte was quite sweet and had a lot of syrup sitting at the bottom. We didn't want to mix it because the drink was already sweet enough and the more we drank, the sweeter it got due to the syrup. The chocolate latte was good and not too sweet. There was chocolate syrup drizzled on the sides, so you can mix until desired sweetness. The Vanilla Latte was light and sweet. The Irish cream was the best drink on the flight. After drinking it, I was tempted to order the full drink. The food menu looked really good and there was a bigger menu when scanning the QR code. It was a bit hard to pick what we wanted to try. The menu was a bit inconsistent. On the physical menu the "two" on "two fluffy waffles" description was crossed out, but on the online menu and on the tv screen, it still shows "two fluffy waffles." Sad they're cutting back on the amount of food and charging $4 for an extra stack of waffles. We ordered the French Toast and Wings, and the Chicken and Waffles. The waffle flavor can be changed to other flavors, but we had forgotten to mention it to the waitress and we got the Original Waffle. The food took a while to come - about 30-40 minutes, so expect slow service, especially if it's during a busy time. French Toast and Wings: There was 3 stacks of French Toast covered in strawberries, blueberries, and a bit of powdered sugar. There was a total of five wings/drums and a side of syrup. It was a huge portion of food that can definitely be sharable (or maybe I just have a small appetite). The chicken had a bit too much batter for my liking, but was good and crunchy. The flavor was decent. Not wow'd by it, but it was good. The French toast was a bit dense then I prefer. Chicken and Waffles: There were two pieces of chicken breast (like chicken tenders) and a waffle spit into four sections covered in condensed milk, powdered sugar, strawberries, and blueberries. When our food arrived, the chicken on this meal was a bit cold and dry. We mentioned it to the waitress, and she kindly got us two pieces fresh off the fryer. The second time around, it was a lot tastier flavor-wise as well with a lot more spice. It was hot, juicy, and fresh, which made the meal more enjoyable. The waffles weren't crispy, but soft and airy. The service was okay. It was really busy, so I could understand why it may be hard to flag someone down. We had to ask other workers aside from our waitress for things like utensils, napkins, and such, which sometimes took a while. Our waitress was very sweet, so when she did have the time to stop by, she was very helpful and provided us with things we needed. It took a while for us to get our bill. Because of how busy the restaurant is, it definitely is more of a spot to relax and take your time. Not a good place to go to if you are in a rush. The bathrooms were disgusting. It was a bathroom outside of the restaurant, which I can imagine would be possibly shared with other shops in the area. It was so bad, I decided not to go inside and use it. There were toilet covers and toilet paper everywhere. The bathroom lighting was dim and both the floors and walls were gross and dirty. It looked like a scene from a horror movie. All in all, despite this, we would come back to try other food items and the drinks here. It seems like a fun place to drink and enjoy food with friends. After we finally had to find someone to let them know we were ready to order, it took another 20 minutes before a different waitress came to take our drink and food orders. The food itself wasn't bad, but the service was beyond frustrating. We were served our meals with *zero* utensils and had to ask for them. After that, the waitress disappeared and didn't come back to check on us at all, except to drop off the check. It was clear that the staff was more interested in gossiping with each other than taking care of their customers. The waitstaff was clearly young, and it showed in their lack of professionalism and attention to detail. I even watched the tables around us, and everyone seemed to be getting the same terrible service. Now I understand why they weren't busy during what should've been the brunch rush on a weekend. As a sac local, we tried out this new spot in Sacramento. First of all, homeless people were across the street. I was a little scared parking my car since one spot available was near their tent. It's sad but there needs something to be done in downtown Sacramento for restaurants to gain customers without having to deal with homeless people. Anyways, they open doors at 9am and I was there by 9.15am. So we waited for a while to get our table. Luckily, second time when I asked to be seated they helped set-up our table. Oh man, our waitress couldn't get our drink order correct. She kept repeating and still couldn't write correctly. It was funny, she brought the drinks but different ones. She didn't even bother to say oh we ran out do you want different flavors. She came out with completely different flavors. I wander if she made a mistake. Also, she forgot two drinks despite writing and asking several times. It was simple, 2 mango, 3 huckleberry and 2 orange mimosas. The restaurant needs to have a drink menu with flavors. The server didn't know what other flavors were there. We ordered our food at the same time as our drinks. We were happy the food came out fairly fast. Oh lord, my order was messed up. I said no, bacon and it came with bacon and hash browns. I wanted house potatoes. My sister-in-law ordered egg Benedict with bacon and hash brown and guess what her entree came with house potatoes. The first thing I noticed as soon as it was placed on the table was that one coffee mug had a good coffee grime (pictured) so I asked my husband to ask for another cup. It was nothing against anyone, it could've been just a malfunctioned dishwasher yet it seemed as if this chick took it personal. This could've been easily solved with a new clean mug soooo here we are- as pictured, it looks as if the mug was rinsed off and new coffee poured in the same MF stained mug! Strike #2- mind you, we're still waiting for a table wipe down which has been a good 10 mins after ordering. No cream offered and btw, the coffee served was luke warm. Good grief! Anyways, we ordered The Kitchen sink, Loco Moco and Ube French Toast which all turned out pretty good but given the experience- service with an attitude, it's not something we look forward to on a Sunday morning! Kitchen 15 is definitely more of a spot for drinks and a party scene, but the food was great and came out fast! Service was a bit off--we were seated at a dirty table, and our server seemed distracted, though they were very friendly. It was towards the end of the night, so it might have just been a busy shift. We brought our 5-month-old, and while it was a little noisy, she actually loved the vibes! Overall, a fun spot with good food, just not the best service experience this time around. read more

Walked over to Kitchen 15 after walking around the Midtown Farmer's Market. It's a little confusing because there are 2 entry doors, so when looking at the restaurant be sure to walk in on the right side. Apparently, reservations are highly recommended. Check in and the front register for a table if you do not have reservations. Luckily, the hubs and I walked in at the perfect time because we were seated right away not having reservations but after us, the restaurant filled up quick! Our server Erin recommended the chicken & waffles so here we are. Food came out within a reasonable time. Serving size? Pretty big, portion enough to share between 2 people, easily shareable. Be sure to ask for more syrup bc the mini sauce cup they give is not enough. Okay, so the chicken breading for the boneless, white meat chicken strips is pretty tasty - but the actual chicken is a bit dry. The waffles are cooked pretty well, warm and fluffy and portioned to have with a piece of chicken. Solid 3 star dish, nothing to write home about. Overall experience, 3 stars. Loved the throw back 90's music they were playing over head. Small space so make those reservations online, especially on the weekend. read more

First time trying this place, so honest review!! We walked in, it was packed. I received a table with a view into the kitchen... when I seen the chef I knew the food would be good. I ordered the chicken and waffles , and the French toast with spicy chicken and honey glaze, along with 2eggs( over easy). The food quantity was great. Lots of leftovers. The taste of the dishes I ordered were amazing. I overheard the people near us talking about their dishes and they too loved it. I also ordered a Flight of coffee. This was aesthetically pleasing to the eye. That's about it . So the review is this : Good food , great portion sizes! Great price for the quality and quantity! Coffee was decent. More syrup flavor, whip cream and ice than coffee. The coffee was weak (so all you coffee lovers won't like it). The flight of coffee was over priced. 22$ for 4 shot glasses of coffee. Save the money and get extra food. For the experience of a coffee flight, this one should have been $12 and no more than $16! My total was $83 for 3 items. Be aware they charge you a "service charge" and ask for a tip. Would I go back, yes, but not order coffee. read more

This place is so hit or miss and the last couple of times have definitely been a miss. The only thing that saved the experience was our server, I wish I got her name because she was really nice and attentive. The Ube waffles were good however, the chicken breast that came with it was practically inedible. There wasn't enough hot sauce in the world to combat how dry it was. We did end up asking for it to be remade and the new batch was just as dry, just hotter in temperature. This visit was to take advantage of the bottomless mimosas. The champagne bottle we receive was warm and not chilled at all, we requested more ice. There's better places in Sac for bottomless mimosas and brunch food so I do not believe will be returning here. read more

My visit to Kitchen 15 proved to be an intriguing experience. I opted for the "Kitchen Sink" dish, which, despite being advertised with fried rice, notably comprised white rice with peas and carrots. Regrettably, the steak, my choice of meat, did not meet expectations, as it exhibited an undesirable level of chewiness. However, I found solace in the delectable accompanying sauce. Furthermore, my sister indulged in the chicken and waffles, praising the delectable quality of the waffles. Meanwhile, my brother's enjoyment of the wings was tempered by their temperature, as they were served cold. Our culinary exploration extended to the coffee flight, which, while not particularly appealing in taste, presented a pleasing presentation. Similarly, the mimosa and margarita flights, while falling short. I love the presentation! Notwithstanding the imperfections in our dining experience, I am inclined to recommend a visit to this establishment. The ambiance was accompanied by an impressive selection of music, and the overall atmosphere was indeed noteworthy. The waffles, in particular, were great. Moreover, the pricing structure is commendable, and I hold admiration for the restaurant's conceptual approach. While my experience during breakfast was not without its flaws, I harbor the belief that a lunchtime visit may yield more favorable results. I've tried the breakfast burger here, the mushroom swiss burger, and today the cheesesteak, and they're all extremely bland. Has Kitchen 15 ever heard of salt? Spice, perhaps? Cheddar doesn't belong on a cheesesteak, btw. It's awful. This place is too expensive to be serving this waste. Go to I Heart Mac and Cheese across the street instead. read more

After attending the Yelp Family Skating event and having the Ube waffles I really wanted to check this place out and have more yummy waffles . The chef and all the employees are all super nice I actually felt bad for our waiter she seemed overwhelmed. We went this past Sunday for my Birthday brunch with friends and it was super busy . We had reservations which we did not have to wait at all .This place gets busy so make reservations. They just need to get more people working and have a better system like one person brings the waters the other the food ect . When we first sat down I was confused with the drinking menu I kept seeing flights of margaritas and mimosas but none were on the menu. It would have been nice to had known we would had ordered differently . The service is really slow I did not see my water in a long time I felt like she would forget things or not check on us but how can I blame her she is super busy . Our food came out and the star of the show was the Ube waffles we got the breakfast burrito but the potatoes were super huge for the burrito the rest of the food was good. My friend got The Kitchen Sink which was delicious and my second favorite thing on the menu sadly the rice was not cooked right they took it back and gave her a new one which took a long time . I would think they would do the right thing after the mess up with the rice but they still charged her for the plate when the check came .. Overall I was a little disappointed with this experience I was expecting more the food was good but it was a bit chaotic for a nice Sunday brunch I think they could of made our experience better with the whole mess up of the rice plate but they didn't. Went here for a Sunday brunch celebrating a friend's birthday. We were seated right away. Food was good and the service was fast. On a nice day I prefer sitting outdoors.
