You are supposed to call British Airways if you have an issue and Aer Lingus hangs-up the line if you let them know it is a code share. I called British Airways for help and they said to call Aer Lingus! More the 10 minuets on hold for each airline. I called because we booked Business Class to the USA and the online check-in was showing standard. Nothing wrong with standard but it the tickets cost more than your car, you expect what was purchased. They claim it is a web check-in issue and all will be well.
After an hour wait to check-in at Aer Lingus we had a new issue. Unlike British Airways, Aer Lingus has a 10kg limit for carry-on. So, despite packing for Germany using one small bag each my husband's bag had to be checked. If it gets lost it will be a major hassle as we need to drive once we reach the USA. Oh and I couldn't get a ticket for the USA flight. I get to do it again in Dublin.
