This is a gem at the base of the Cathedral with excellent food, wine and special menu of the day…read morefor about 12 Euros! We came here for a quiet lunch during our holiday. The waitress speaks fluent English and was very knowledgeable of the menu. FOOD: I had the green salad for my first course and it was probably the best salad I've had! The juicy tomatoes, fresh greens, tubed cheese and crunchy onions all came together beautifully with the light dressing! My boyfriend had the mussels which were very fresh and tasty! For the main course, I had the cod with potatoes and my boyfriend had the veal (hard to believe for the lunch price). Everything was delicious and well prepared! The cod was gently baked with a cheesy topping. The portions were very generous and we were really satisfied after our meal. SERVICE: Excellent from start to finish! The waitress did not rush us even though it was approaching their closing time, which was a nice change coming from the US. The restaurant's outdoor patio is a nice place for people watching while taking in the view of the historic Cathedral! I would absolutely recommend this restaurant without any hesitation for its excellent food, approachable menu, great service and affordability!

Fast service, waitress speaks a number of languages which helps a lot when ordering. Child menu comprises complimentary water, which is a very good thing un the summer! Tapas menu is a bit expansive for the number of possible tapas, and you must be 2 to order it. Normal menu is not expansive, and you can try a number of various local dishes (fideua, paella, gazpacho ...). All dishes are huge, you'd better be hungry or willing to share with your friends/family. Bread is also included in the normal menu, which is not so common in Spain.

We looked up healthy restaurants and this came up and we took a taxi from Sagrada Familia to eat here. It was DELICIOUS! We shared a chickpea burger, a salad, and the gyoza--all fresh and super-delicious. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Restored our attitude and faith that good healthy food could be found in Spain!

The food I ate here was tasty and slightly above average! I liked eating the meal. I ordered a…read morehamburger, but I was slightly confused when the burger came without a bun, just a patty and a quinoa salad (attached picture). Nevertheless, it was a nice surprise because the burger was tasty and had a nice beet paste on top.The saltiness of the patty contrasted nicely with the sweetness of the beet, and the quinoa salad was fresh, chilled, and well seasoned. The salad had pieces of tomato added in, but I was not a fan. The tomatoes were not well picked, quite unripe, tasteless, and crunchy. The "burger" was accompanied by a cup of white wine, but it was just regular, cheap wine. Nothing too special there. Nevertheless, I did still leave the place feeling quite a bit hungry. I would have liked the burger to at least have a lettuce wrap or some sort of accompanying "bun" to give the name "hamburger" some justice. I would not have ordered the burger if I knew this, but it did not say anything about it on the menu. The price for the meal was 6.75 and, while it was not bad, I do not think it was worth it, unfortunately. I can get better food for that price at other places in the area.
