However, throughout 2018, we saw results diminish greatly, even though the number of accounts we placed in collections increased. I reached out to our representative to discuss the status of our accounts. After nearly 2 weeks, he finally responded and stated he would contact me later that week to discuss our accounts. That was almost 3 weeks ago. In the meantime, we've recouped almost nothing on the accounts placed with NWC in 2018. Some of the accounts should have been sent for legal action months ago! Needless to say, we are very dissatisfied with the service we've received since our initial review and are currently interviewing other agencies. I would not recommend New World Collections to any business owner if you are expecting good results.

American Financial Credit Services decided to contact me 2 years later to let me know that I owe…read moreback taxes for a vehicle that I sold in 2022. Amazingly Beaufort County as of February 2024 just starting to charge $150 late fee, and this collection company calls me after that PLUS when I called them to find out about this bill that I knew absolutely nothing about, the one "man" that I spoke with, was RUDE and Condescending! I called again today to pay the them, I was advised that there is a $15 fee for check or credit card payment, PLUS their fee of $67! I told them that IF they had done their job BEFORE February, they wouldn't be asking for the additional $150, $67, or $15. I told the man that I would pay the $163 (prorated tax after selling the vehicle) plus against my judgment, the & $150, but I refuse to pay their fee of $67 to them! If you receive a call from them, be prepared to get sarcastic and rude right back to them. They won't be expecting it.

While trying unsuccessfully to obtain a debt consolidation loan, I was presented with the option of…read moresettling my debt of more than $100,000. I really didn't want to take this course of action, but felt I didn't have many options. I was told by representative that Canyon Legal Group would help me settle my debt for less than 50% of what I owed. I was quoted an amount and told that they guaranteed that could settle my debt for this amount, and if not they would cover the remainder. This was absolutely false and I should've known better than to believe it. I paid more than $3,100 a month for 2 years into a Global Client Solutions account. I was told that I had to use this account even though I was being charged a monthly service fee of ~$150. It took many months before Canyon Legal Group even started to settle any debts, only after making sure they had collected their fees from my account. Ultimately, they did not settle all of my debts and those that they did settle, were often for more than they claimed they would be. Even after paying ~$74,000, I was still left with multiple account unsettled. I called Canyon Legal Group many times seeking assistance, but they did not provide any help. When my wife received a court summons, they did not provide any legal representation as they had promised to. I had to settle the reminder of the accounts myself costing another ~$20,000.

I had them hell me settle some accounts, but they did not deal with a couple accounts, but they charged the service fee for those accounts, and are not giving my money back when they failed to manage those accounts. Find another company to help you. These guys will will not be working in your best interest. Look elsewhere.
