I remember when Kinky Gerlinki had much fewer stores and, well, back then it was a bit different. The concept and attitude are still the same, but way back when, Kinky Gerlinki used to source really cute and quirky fashions from Asia, and I used to love popping in often to see what new flat shoes had arrived in store.
KG hasn't lost any of its original charm, it is just creating its own charm now instead of sourcing it. The look is still that slightly out of the ordinary, weird, cool girl aesthetic, but along the way, they figured out how to make it themselves and not have to wait till someone else thought of it.
My taste in clothes is a little different now to how it was when I shopped at Kinky Gerlinki (being older and hopefully, slightly more mature) but I still think it's a fun place to shop, and I don't think my KG days are quite over yet.
