    Went in for a blow dry and called ahead to find out if Toni & Guy had a sulfate free shampoo to…read morewash my hair with bc I'd had a keratin treatment and cannot use sulfate shampoos. They did not, so I brought my own and they were going to use that. The girl washing my hair however forgot to use the correct shampoo and essentially washed the treatment I'd payed $400 for out of my hair before I realized what she was doing by the feel of the different shampoo in my hair. All that was said was "sorry". Out money and the proper treatment now my girlfriend called the salon to discuss the issue of her poor treatment on her hair also with the salon manager who spoke quite rudely to her and actually HUNG UP THE PHONE ON HER. That speaks for it self, how Toni and Guy Norwich does NOT care for it's customers and is actually rude to them. I warn anyone from visiting this salon should you have the same issues we've had. We are currently trying to get in touch with the Main Office of Toni and Guy to let them know about the problems with Emannuele Valenti, the Norwich customer service FAILURE of the year. @toniandguyuk on Twitter.

    Visited in October 15 (after the franchisee of another T&G salon in Manchester gave me a hairdo…read morethat made me look like the village idiot - my regular person was off sick - so just shows the owner isn't always the best however much you pay) I was away the following day in Norwich so I rang in the morning whilst travelling, explained my issues, was given an appointment with Josh who was brilliant, he saw what was wrong, explained what he would need to do (cut more off) and how so that i didnt lose any more hair than I had previously. He managed to make my hair look good after its previous hacking, it stayed in place for three days and I was really happy. I would visit again but living over 200 miles away it isn't possible but if was in the area I would go and would recommend Josh and the salon to anybody. The reception/junior staff were lovely too.

I get there and wait an hour while nothing to do with my hair happens, I sip on a beverage and have my coat removed from me. The cut and style I can not falt and inch off the bottom, and straight. The colour, and service is abysmal. I'm looking up hairdressers now to get it fixed, four appointments there and every time I'm assured that next time the colour will be fixed, £400 down the hole and days of my life I will never get back. Ordinarily I'm seen and abandoned to other clients, but never before colour or bleach has been applied. The colour I have is patchy due to the lack of foils, care, knowledge or attention. Tbh I think they should be ashamed. They talk a good talk, but aren't capable to walk the walk. Avoid.

Blow drying is another matter- they can be aggressive in how they handle hair and I have left with hair that is wet at the back and needed straightening My main objection is how they deal with pricing! I called for an appointment and was told the cost would be £38!!!! When I went to pay the stylist charged me £32! Rush seem to want to get as much money as possible from their clients. They suggest that stylists are style directors - but these people are with the salon a very short amount of time and then they leave or are let go! I don't mind paying a fair price for the service and styling. But rush are so cynical with how they deal with customers. Scruffs is an excellent salon and charge £35 with a conditioning treatment included. There is no way that rush should be charging more than that

    OMG, I had a disaster of a time at this hairdressers. I wanted to get my hair cut quickly whilst in…read moretown for a night out (as I had left it to late to book anywhere). I entered the shop to find one woman (who I later found out was the new manager!) screaming at the till Computer says no. She was trying to charge the customer who's hair she had just done but couldn't figure out how to do it, she walked out of the shop (I still had not even been acknowledged) shouting for her assistant (who was on a lunch break). 5 minutes later the other member of staff came in and helped her whilst rolling her eye's (nice touch). Whilst the assistant was doing my hair the manager constantly interrupted her asking inane questions. How do I change the head on this clipper Why won't it fit I at this point said you need to push it, even I knew that. I was having a wash cut and blow dry, and during the time I was there the manager cut 4 men's hair and every time needed my hairdresser to stop what she was doing and help with the computer. This meant my hairdresser got confused after using a blade to shape my face on a centre parting when I had asked for a side, I was trying to tell her but she was helping the manager. Then when she had realised what she had done she just moved my hair to the side parting and re cut the shape to face. meaning I had short sticky up bits all over the place. I just couldn't believe it, also whilst my hair was being blow dried a big sign fell off the wall onto me instead of the staff apologising they just laughed I was not impressed. So please take my advice and do not go to this hairdressers unless you have no other choice! Also during the time I was there no drinks, mags or anything were offered, How tight!!!

    On Wednesday last week, I had an appointment at the Norwich salon at 3pm. I was booked in for a…read morefull head of highlights, a cut, treatment and style. When I arrived, I clearly explained to Mabel the technician what I wanted. No money piece, blended highlights throughout my hair, a small trim as I recently had my hair cut. Mabel insisted she could get what I wanted through balayage (I had a suspicion this was her preferred style as I have quite long hair and highlights would take much longer). I explained again the outcome I was looking for and Mabel explicitly advised she understands and to trust her. Mabel began doing the back of my hair, then moved to the front. While doing to front, I stated again, I do not want a visible money piece, I would like it to blend throughout my hair.... this was ignored and Mabel done what she wanted on my hair. Resulting in an uneven, categorically awful variation of colours going through my hair with a huge blocky money piece which is the blondest, brightest, cheapest looking hair I've ever seen. Now moving on to the cut, I was handed over to Joe who truthfully doesn't have a very warm tone anyway, I explained to Joe, I wear my hair up all the time, I do not want bangs or a fringe (as he kept pushing this) but I would like a light feathering around my face and half an inch cut from the bottom. I explained I have very curly thick hair so anything short at the front would not work, and stated AGAIN I wear my hair up a majority of the time, I do not have time to style it so the cut needs to be soft and nothing much different to what it is now. When Joe then cut the front, I could hear and feel he had made a mistake and taken a lot of length off, I politely said again, I do not want bangs, I do not want a fringe or much to which Joe replied in an aggressive, loud tone "what do you want me to do about it? What did you expect me to do?" The whole salon went quiet, it was mortifying. I explained myself, I can't have short fronts, due to having my hair up a lot, he did not care. He then continued to aggressively dry my hair, scratching my neck, pulling my hair and blowing all the hair into my face. Prior to this, he asked how I wanted it styled, I asked for a bouncy blow but instead I got an angry, aggressive rough dry then curls put in while yanking at my hair so much my head was getting pulled back with ever strand. Joe repeatedly (again extremely aggressively) kept asking if the colour and cut was ok, I explained it's not what I asked for, and he stated "what do you want me to do about it?". By this point I felt intimidated and just wanted to get out of there. It was an awful experience and my hair now is left in a complete mess. I do not feel comfortable going back to the salon due to the aggressive nature of the stylist Joe. I do not expect to be treated like that anywhere, let alone paying £220 for the privilege.
