More spacious than its Boldmere counterpart and offering a decent range of books and resources organised into no-nonsense sections by genre, this popular public library is very handy to have in the local vicinity. The staff are friendly and always eager to help and if you have young children, they'll be in their element in the diverse, comfortable under 10s section.
Sadly, inside, everything looks pretty tired and if you're visiting in hope of using a computer, you probably won't have much luck. The computers run all the essential Microsoft Office programs, including Publisher, Powerpoint and Excel, but there are only 8 available for use, so unless you pick your times wisely, you'll probably end up disappointed. Kingstanding Library is great for families with small children, but adults are probably better off visiting Perry Common library a few miles down the road. read more
