That being said the Karaoke part has become a Berlin staple and should definitely be prioritized by anyone visiting the city. Even if you don't dare to perform yourself you will enjoy other brave tourists and Berliners blasting some songs and the great atmosphere surrounding the spectacle. Drinks are being sold throughout the theater so you won't even have to worry about getting in and out of the mostly crowded area. It's one of my favorite things to do in Berlin and the icing on the cake is that it's completely free of charge.

Es gibt also: 1. Kimchi, 2. Pa-Jeon, 3. Tofu, 4. eingelegte Gurken und Zucchini, 5. Kartoffel-Beilage, 6. Bulgogi aus Schweinefleisch, 7. Japchae (Glasnudeln) + andere Beilagen und selbstverständlich Reis. Das ganze schmeckt unglaublich lecker und für den Preis ist es mit Abstand die preiswerteste koreanische Mahlzeit, die ich je in Berlin hatte. Zum Buffet kann man sich Getränke bestellen, die ebenfalls günstig sind ca. 2,50 für eine grosse Apfelschorle usw. Die nette koreanische Frau, die uns bedient hat, hat uns bei weiteren Besuchen sofort erkannt und war sehr erfreut. Great, I thought, I didn't have that much cash with me anyway. Cover charge was 10 Euros at the door, so I asked whether I could pay by plastic. "Yes of course... but oh wait, only if you pay for your mate as well... cause we've got a €15 minimum spend". Not the friendliest way of welcome. Too much bait and switch. (I know it's common over here, but still I relish any places that is committed to better business.) A good salesman would have let me pay by plastic while asking me to buy a drinks voucher with that. I've been in the banking industry myself and know quite well that banking fees aren't that high anymore to warrant this. So I pulled out a 20 Euro note and got 9 Euros of change back. I had to explicitly opt out of the offer to leave my jumper with them to get another Euro back and enjoy the advertised price of €10. Music is good and the selection of titles is huge. Drinks are all right. Although some other patrons complained about them being slightly watery. The bar on the left had a sign up "Please leave a 7-10% tip for our staff" - very interesting, why don't you just put an automatic service charge on your menu instead? Mobile reception very spotty in the rear bar area (o2 doesn't work, Telekom does) - move towards the exit/entrance area to have reception. There is a dedicated smokers area, but I'm not sure whether you'd be allowed back into the place if you left it for a breathe of fresh air. Air conditioning on the premises is working though. And there's that odd mirror thing - in the entrance areas, a door that just won't open (opposite the bathrooms). You can find "Der magische Green Mango Spiegel" with CCTV footage from pissed people trying to open it on YouTube. Not my sense of humour really but YMMV. It can be a fun place with friends, that's for sure, but the attitude could be friendlier (as can be seen from the fairly odd comments on other reviews, they seem to have more than enough custom so management don't need to put as much effort into customer service as other places do). I don't think the Green Mango is going to become my new local. And I would have certainly spent more if there was less of a sneaky, airline-style way of doing business.

We were there with a group of 10 people and we wanted to sing karaoke, that's why we choose a "Karaokebar" and not a disco. They tryed to cheat with the bill (more food than we ordered). The stuff was very unfriendly and the "Schlagermusik"-Crowd made it also not appealing to us.

Certainly won't knock them for that though as we were in a Berlin boy zone. Definitely a cute catch of boys that night though (if you like boyz). Our waiter was super sweet and nice and he was very in tune with our pace for ordering drinks and refills. The cocktails were tasty and at an okay price point. Everyone's favorite gay party hits play in the background (think Lady Gaga) and everyone seemed to be having a good time. You are seated at a table, so i could see it being tricky if you wanted to drift around the room and mingle as you might in a standing only bar.
