My daily commute. Well on average 5 days a week. Plenty of access from stair, elevators and lifts. Wheel chair friendly. One side of the Station all buses head North, the other side all buses head South.
Better timetables would be better, rarely see a Translink 'officer'/'helper' I know where I'm off to as I regularly travel on the Route. Others trying to find out what buses to catch, some people can see a few buses head the direction they are after but don't know how far from where they want to go they stop. An idea would be each route have there entire list of stops they stop at listed. It would help some many people. Timetable with all the stops up on the wall would be great. Each stop has only up to 3 routes stopping at the stop so the walls wouldn't be covered with bus routes and their individual stops.
Tickets can be purchased on the bus or machines just in the entrance/main foyer before you head down to the buses. I do recommend a 'Go Card' with gives you cheaper fairs. Even if you are visiting for a couple of days it is worth it. The 'Go Card' can be used on not only the buses but on the trains and ferries as well. You can 'top-up' you 'Go Card' at the same machine you can purchase paper tickets from but there is an automatic top-up you can use if you register online.
The station is generally clean but unfortunately as a shift worker I can go through the station at all times of the day and night. Unfortunately especially on a Friday & Saturday night after people have hit the city for the night you can find rubbish strewn about the place. Unfortunately buses don't run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Buses running earlier and later would be great for shift workers like me, keeping more cars off the road and others may think twice about driving if they plan to drink.
The station has 2 entrances, one on Adelaide St and on on Ann St. Out of the station then its access to cafes, banks, retail shopping etc read more
