I hate to say it because she's a nice person, but Dr. McCray is not a very good doctor. I brought my first child here, and because I didn't know any better it took me a while to realize that she was incompetent. The office itself is also pretty bad. Everything is bottom dollar, and it shows. The carpet is grimy, and the waiting room chairs are dirty and gross. You couldn't pay me to let my child play with any of the toys in that doctor's office! I could leave a very long, detailed explanation of why we left this practice, but instead I will sum with the following: she misdiagnosed my baby's skin condition. She fought tooth and nail not to refer us to a dermatologist. She put my daughter through some stressful, painful tests that were completely unnecessary. And to top it all off, her office messed up our insurance information, so I had to resubmit several unpaid claims, and it was a real mess to fix! Now, having switched to another pediatrician, I see how awful Dr. McCray was! Our new doctor is so much more thorough, attentive, knowledgeable, and educated. You live and you learn! I have taken my kids here to see Dr. Zavelsky for a few years now since he came. I was immediately impressed by Janice, the nurse, who has a great ability to make the kids know exactly what she will be doing and describes how they may feel during and after the process of getting a check up. Janice makes every effort to make sure they are comfortable and rewards them for their bravery. Dr. Zavelsky is kind and always makes conversation with my kids of all ages (2-16 at the present time) who see him. He has been extremely helpful with helping me to adjust to giving medications and treating my 9 year old son who was recently diagnosed with asthma and allergies. read more

Dr. Z is amazing with all 5 of my children! The nurses are wonderful and caring and my children love them like they're family. The receptionist is fantastic as well. She always gets us in quickly and even got us a same day physical before the school year started! I recommend them to anyone. read more

They were rude and hung up the phone on me because I switched doctor's offices and called to ask them if they would send shot records. I was polite the entire time- they had awful customer service on the phone and when I asked if I could swing by and pick the records up, they wanted to charge me $10 per page. They didn't send the records for 2 weeks! read more

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT go here. I don't care if it's the cheapest or most convenient place to go to. They are all terrible people and have no idea how to treat people. They don't even seem to know how phone calls work. I was scheduling my first appointment and all they kept saying was, "Okay..." after everything. EVERYTHING! Not asking any questions, not being professional whatsoever. The first appointment sucked. None of them seem to know anything about what they're doing. My boyfriend's mom takes her grandson there and also tells me about how awful and unprofessional her experiences are with them. My second and last appointment there really topped it off. My friend of six years had four seizures the day before and was in the hospital, so I made sure to answer anytime she called or texted me. I was sitting in an appointment with one of the nurses (the one with really short hair, a little shorter than a pixie cut) and my phone went off because my friend had texted me. I reached for my phone, but immediately said, "I'm sorry, my friend's in the hospital." To that, most people would ask why. But, no. She said, "No, it's my time now." Really? Are you serious? I am beyond angry. I have never met more disrespectful people in my life. Please don't give them your time or money. I would die before choosing to see them. read more

This is a great office and doctor. The other review talked about a Dr. McCray who is not with this practice anymore so I think it is a shame to give a low star review of the practice. We love Dr. Zavelsky and his whole staff. He really takes his time and we never have to wait. He always calls back when needed and they have good values. My kids both like him too which is also a big plus. read more
