A King Edward VII statue dedicated to the former monarch stands to the southern end of the Union Terrace Gardens towards the western end of the Union Street Bridge in Aberdeen. The statue was in good condition when I stopped by as part of a day of exploring Aberdeen on foot on Sunday 7 July 2019. The statue faces the Union Terrace/Union Street intersection and has a stone railing behind it from which the Union Terrace Gardens can be viewed. In front of the railing were benches, some of which were in use. Tall trees with green leaves and the clouds provided reprieve from the sun. read more
