Hmmm....could this by my next go-to place for Chinese food? I think so. The egg drop soup is heartier than other places, and clearly has more egg in it. The bbq ribs are very tasty, not greasy, and you don't have to "fight" with them. The 1/2 roast duck was delicious, and way more than two people can eat. Cut into the traditional small pieces, it's easy to eat. The restaurant recommended that next time I try their Peking Duck, and I will. It's a little far for me (I live on S.W. 136 St and Old Cutler), but it's worth it. read more

My only regret is that I learned of King Duck Chinese BBQ at the end of my stay in Miami. The food is phenomenal! I ordered the half PIPA duck, which has a subtle citrus-y taste. The skin of the duck was the right amount of crispy! I also ordered the Sesame Chicken combo meal and liked the pork fried rice that came along with it. I ordered my food for pick-up so I got to see what the preventative measures the restaurant had taken in the midst of COVID. If you visit King Duck Chinese BBQ, you will see a large plexiglass wall that covers the entire entrance. Your food will be served through a cut-out in the wall. I personally felt very comfortable with their safety measures, as I felt it was a thorough way to keep the restaurant workers safe. read more

I am just so excited I can now get HK style bbq in South Dade. The food I can tell is spectacular but unfortunately, we got here a little late - I think. The crispy pork was not crispy at all. It was cold and chewy. I really wanted that crispy skin. However, I know it's the bomb when it is fresh. The flavor was all there. They just opened a few weeks ago and I hope they soon realize they'll have a lot of dinner traffic. Maybe they'll start to make more food and keep it nice and fresh for the working crowd. We got there at 7 and between 7-8, we saw at least 5 different groups of people walk in disappointed some of the faves were sold out. They also don't have a huge selection. I stopped by and had the special fried rice and Chinese chicharron. It was awesome! seasoned to perfection. I also had the milk bubble tea with lychees, it was refreshing after walking in from the heat. I am definitely returning to try their barbecue duck and other offerings. read more

My husband and I found this new hole in the wall Cantonese bbq family own business, The first impression as soon you walk in is a hanging roast ducks, soy sauce chicken, crispy roast pork , marinated pig ear, at last is my favorite char siu on a glass window remind us just like back home in Hong kong ,Vietnam , San Francisco or New York chinatown! I ordered from postmates and got the Peking duck, pickled vegetables, and half pound of crispy pork. The pork was crispy indeed. Came with hoisin sauce to dip, no rice. The Peking duck came with green onion, cucumber, hoisin sauce and wraps. There were about 8 wraps total? Give or take a few. The veggies were yummy I recommend those, but I wish these items also came with rice. So if you want rice, look for the combos. read more

After reading reviews on Yelp, I had extremely high expectations from King Duck. Unfortunately I was slightly disappointed! The Duck Buns were good on flavor, but a littttttle lacking on Duck. But I would give them 4 stars. The honey Garlic chicken however, was UNSATISFACTORY the chicken did not come already tossed in sauce. It was chicken nuggets with honey garlic sauce on the side. While the sauce was decent it was a little light on flavor and not at all what I expected. the chicken was also dry. While the food was halfway decent, I would not eat here again. read more

I love this restaurant. First, the roast duck was wonderful and tasted just right and was served with a plum sauce made in-house. We also had excellent napa cabbage, a preserved egg, and some sweet and sour cucumbers. I was in heaven. We also had a tea made from sugar cane, carrots, and water chestnut that was delicious. But, it takes more than great food to get 5 stars out of me. Part of what makes you want to come back to a restaurant is whether you were made to feel welcome. Here, there was no question. I've been to King duck several times and always is great! There honeydew bobba tea is addictive. The green papaya pickle salad is delicious with any dish. Not a fan of the pork fried rice but is better then many other Chinese restaurants. I absolutely love their duck. The service is great. Is better for pick up. read more

Both tasted horrible and had a rubber band taste. To make things worst, They placed the meat in watery cabbage which altered the texture of the meat even more. Wifey and I decided to go wild today and visited this place, we are so glad we did , food was fantastic, the place is super clean, the chef and server are super nice, and the price is fair. We found this place here in Yelp and because of the reviews decided to give it a try. First impression when we walked in was like a very small Chinese restaurant, but far from that this restaurant is a hidden gem! Is super clean, everything is shining in there and no food odors at the eating tables (by the way there are just a handful of then) this place is small to eat in but you can always take out and eat at home. We decided to eat there, for appetizers we ordered the pork buns and the steamed pork with quail eggs wontons, they were delicious, great portions and very satisfying, seconds was the combo duck and crispy pork (aka pork belly), this was amazing, the crispy pork is the best we have eaten, it was juicy, crispy and meaty at the same time, just great, we couldn't finish so we took home the leftovers for dinner. They have great boba teas, we tried the coffee flavored that we never had before and it was very tasty, the attention is great, you feel like you are at some family dinner table having their best home meal, we definitely will be coming back often. I grew up eating this stuff so I have an idea of the real deal, and this is it. I tried the roast duck and crispy pork, and the flavors are rich without being too salty or greasy. Duck wings/feet are 2/$1 which is a steal and they make a really tasty cilantro-peanut coated marinade for it which is optional if you want, as well as spice. It's not the Hong Kong style I'm used to, but OMG it was so good. Soup is healthy and broth-y just like mama makes at home. A taste of home! read more

I was really looking forward to trying this after I saw an ad on Instagram and realized it was close to my house. So I decided to give it a shot for lunch. I had an egg roll, the pork buns and the beef flank noodle soup. The egg roll was mediocre at best, a standard egg roll that you can find anywhere a dime a dozen. The pork buns were decent with good flavor, but the flank soup was a big disappointment. I had to get a plate to pull out all the beef and separate the beef from all the fat and unfortunately discovered that more than half of the beef was pure inedible fat. The picture attached shows the beef to the left and the fat to the right after I took the picture I found more fat in the soup so the pile was actually bigger. The flavor of the soup itself was not bad, but at $12 having to throw half the beef away is definitely not a good deal. This is very unfortunate and it's safe to say I will not be returning. read more

We ordered the Peking Duck which was so tender with skin so crispy it melts in your mouth and add the soft, thin pancakes that you fill with the duck, julienned scallions, cucumbers and hoisin sauce - WOW!! We also tried the Roast Duck and so happy we did. It was cooked to perfection and the homemade sauces are a match made in heaven, I couldn't get enough of it. A side order of the House Special Rice Noodles were so flavorful not to mention the sticky rice which was so delicious. I was at King Duck yesterday for the first time. I really enjoyed this hole in the wall, and it is definitely a hole in the wall but excellent for take out. This place reminds me of some of the places I go to on the West Coast. Very similar to Asian BBQ and Noodle in Las Vegas or Ranch 99 for the roast duck and pork. I had the roast duck and crispy pork as well as sampling some of the other meats. We needed a place like this rather than the run of the mill Chinese restaurant. I met the owner and his father in law who were tuning the operation. Normally a good sign. I will go back for the excellent roast duck and to try some of the other things. read more
