This restaurant has great selections at a low price. I'm from Hawaii where buffets are $25+ so $13 for dinner on a weekend is amazing. We came two hours before closing on a Saturday night and they were fairly busy. Our table was ready within minutes of checking in. The food looks fresh and they have different stations- salad, fruit, dessert, main entrees, make your own noodles and a sushi bar. Most of the food I had chosen were really good but the sushi was okay. A gentleman is standing behind the counter if you wanted one made fresh but they have pre-made selections as well. The staff consistently checks up on you to make sure you're doing okay, need any refills or plates cleared. I will definitely be back soon. read more

We came here on a Saturday eveing and it was packed, but, we decided to stay. We were called and seated within 10 minutes, which is pretty quick considering the amount of other families waiting. Our waitress was attentive and fast from the beginning of our meal to the end. We tried the Grill option, where you select your ingredients and they are prepared on the grill while you wait. Delicious! There is a huge selection of food to choose from and we enjoyed everything we tried, with the exception of the fried bananas. This was our first time trying them. The food was hot and tasted like it was just made. The desserts were delicious and there was a large variety to choose from: Soups, salad bar, seafood, bbq and desserts. I haven't been to a buffet in a long time, almost 3 years! Dinner starts at 3:30 and we went on a Saturday. They give veterans a discount which is nice. Dinner time they have steamed crab legs as a specialty. Asian moms are all about that! They have a small sushi bar where they put the nigiris towards the back and the rolls in the front. This made me chuckle. Literally, had to duck my head under the plastic cover to reach for the nigiri. They also had steamed clams in oyster sauce. They haven't been washed thoroughly because I was chewing sand the whole time. My favorite was the baked salmon with cheese on top and the baked crab. Cooked food tasted way better. Their fruit bar was full, fresh, and delicious. I'm not sure if I will come back but the cooked foods were okay. read more

My husband and I have been coming to this buffet since it opened years ago. We've always enjoyed the huge variety of food selections they have. Our favorites are the ribs, mini steaks, fried shrimp, dumplings/pot stickers, soup, etc. I've never tried the Mongolian grill so I can't rate that area. I have given the sushi bar a try but the rice just tastes like it's been out for too long, dried out. So I don't bother with that area. And any time we eat here, we come at opening to avoid the food being out for too long and get cold AND to avoid traffic since we have little kids. Trying to be safe during these times. We get in and get out. The staff knows us pretty well and are always nice and greet us and our kids. My only complaint is the cleanliness of this establishment. As we enter through the doors, the doors are so filthy and dirty, you can see peoples hand/finger prints. You would think to wipe them down and disinfect them during covid right now. As we get seated near the windows, the window sill is dusty and dirty and sometimes have dead flies/gnats. And the window itself is dirty with finger prints from kids from the prior day. Mind you, we get here at opening so I know it wasn't cleaned. I keep antibacterial spray and wipes on me at all times and use them to disinfect the tables to be extra careful for my kids. And just as I expect, the tables are pretty dirty. I don't even bother using the kid highchairs because of the dirtiness. I bought my own on Amazon and my kids use those wherever I go. Also, there are no gloves being used for customers to use at buffet. The staff uses masks and gloves though. So my recommendation for this restaurant is to keep up with its cleanliness and to wipe those doors, tables (underneath as well) and windows before you open and in between shifts to help with germs and presentation. P.S. If you want those crawfish and crab legs, go on Sundays when they open. They serve them that early and I don't ever have to wait in a long line since it's dead with traffic until everyone comes in after church (around 12 pm) You're welcome :) read more

My family and I frequent this NW side buffet alot. Its located just inside the Leon Valley city limit. Service can be meh from time to time. Havent had a waiter or tres that would allow me to tip them above and beyond, so keep tryn to make my day! I will mention this is one buffet that has not made me sick yet. I shutter going to buffets sometimes however my grands love Chinese food. Its clean in around the plates. Silver ware and napkins are plentiful a must at buffets. The wait staff make tentative rounds for used plates and are helpful with refills. Steak on the buffet is of a cheap cut. Its tuff as leather. They have a nice sushi bar if its ur thing. All the cold items are kept fresh. The best part if thus shing dig is the chocolate fountain. You can dip strawberries and fruits. All in all its a goos choice for buffet. I travel extensively and every week try to find a good independent Mongolian grill. Not a fan of buffet food, I prefer selecting my own ingredients and sauces. I don't care for the Genghis Grill type outfits. They are disappointingly inadequate. The sushi/sashimi here was above average. And they had spicy Tuna rolls, my favorite. But it all went downhill after the appetizers. I tried the spring rolls. There were no egg rolls. The spring rolls were awful. Just mush inside, and not very good tasing mush. The hot and sour soup could've been the worst I've ever sampled. No hot and no sour. Bland. The dumplings matched soup. Absolutely tasteless. The hot oil was rancid. The bell rang, and I fetched my large plate of grilled veggies, no protien. They do have a great selection of items to choose from. The first few bites were disappointing. It was way overcooked. But the main problem was consistency. It was dry as a bone. I couldn't take another bite. The cook ruined my dish. I took the dry food up to the checkout and presented it to the man behind the counter. He looked surprised/confused. I told him the cook ruined my dish. He looked at it and asked what the problem was. I told him it was very dry and overcooked. He said, "Well, you picked out the ingredients." Wrong answer. There was no remorse in his voice or body language. He became defensive. Never apologized or asked if I wanted something else. That really made me mad. I controlled my emotions, but just barely. I then told him what I thought of all the other bad food I tried to eat. He maintained his sour attitude. I told him I just wanted to pay up and get out of the dump. It's upsetting that on busy weekend evenings people will d*mn near punch you in the face over some f*ckin crab legs. There will literally be a line and they put out one tray and let people hog all of crab legs so by the time it gets to the 5th person in line the damn crab is all gone and you gotta wait another 10 mins for the next tray. & when the next tray comes out it's the same 5 fat motherfuckers first in line waiting to fill up their plates with crab legs again. Number one, it's a buffet. Number two, it's really good, so wait your turn! The sushi is probably the best I've seen at a buffet - - keep in mind, we are not comparing this to the buffet in Bellagio's in Vegas, OK folks, but, it's pretty damn good. Whenever I have folks come in from out of town, and they are tired of the Tex Mex fair, we go here. Pretty decent as far as Chinese buffets go. The sushi was probably my favorite part. Every single roll I tried was delicious. Went for dinner, and the amount of people there made sure that everything was fresh. Their chicken on a stick was the best I've ever had at any Chinese buffet. It looked dry, but was actually quite moist and tender. A few of the dishes that were fried seemed like they sat in the oil too long, making the texture and taste a bit off. The wonton for the wonton soup was yummy, and the broth was even better. Had blackberry cobbler for dessert - much better than I expected for a Chinese buffet. Something wasn't quite right with the ice cream though; it seemed like it just wasn't a good formula mix and it wound up being too dense/heavy. There was a larger dessert selection than I'm used to seeing at a buffet as well, including the chocolate fountain. Overall, I would say the standard buffet fare alone isn't worth the price, but having good quality sushi and the option for the Mongolian grill (which I didn't try but looked good and was popular) helped balance it out. Our server also did a great job as far as keeping up with our drink refills and taking away used plates. We will probably go back if it's convenient, but there are so many other good buffets in the same area that I'm not sure I'd call it a favorite. read more

I do not eat buffets too often, but I do appreciate this one when traveling through San Antonio. I appreciate the constant fresh rotation of food they offer and I especially appreciate the cleanliness and details they attend to for a comfortable dining experience. I watched how they meticulously pulled out many of the seating booths to wipe down, vacuum, sweep, and clean the areas. This little detail means a lot to me because some buffets seem to NEVER do that and it shows and smells. This place is the most disgusting buffet I have been to. If I could give it 0 stars I would, charging over any other buffet I have been too was ridiculous. I can't believe we spent almost $40 for two people and left starving because the food was so inedible. I would not recommend anybody to go here. Food was cold and not being refilled in a timely manner. So many people just walking around with no mask or gloves and it was just a mess. The seating was also horrible, tables were wobbly and seat benches felt unsafe. I felt like I was going to fall through them. Staff was also unfriendly. Would have given it a negative 5 stars if Yelp gave that as a choice. Food was over cooked in many cases, if there was any left in the pan. Many items had no taste to them. Anything that was fried was done in the same burnt fishy oil. Very slow service in getting refills on drinks too. I brought these concerns to the manager's attention and the manager told me that if we didn't like the food we could go to any other restaurant as they would probably have better food there. We should have taken a clue from the dirty floor and parking lot that this place wouldn't be good. We had to ask that our table be wiped down again to get some red paste type substance removed from it prior to being seated. I know I won't be back. This is by far my favorite Chinese buffet. Friday and Saturday they have crab legs. The fried shrimp is really good.

We were in town for a visit and decided to try this restaurant. The food was good but nothing outstanding. It's pretty decent for a buffet. There were lots of people there when we arrived so we thought the food will be excellent but it was nothing like what we are used to in our home town. We had to stay an extra 20 minutes after we were done eating just to pay for our meal. It turns out that we have to stand in line to pay. Or, the server will stand in line for you. This was our first time eating here. We came towards the end of the lunch buffet and decided to stay for the dinner buffet. The lunch buffet was good. There were a lot of food items to chose from and everything was fresh and hot. The dinner buffet had more items than the lunch buffet including spicy and butterfly shrimp, king crab and crawfish. The sushi is good and Mongolian grill is also good. The atmosphere is comfortable and the wait staff is attentive. Our drinks were refilled often as well as our finished plates removed from the table. As both the buffets are good I will recommend the dinner buffet purely for the added seafood items. read more

Never heard of this place but after we spent the day at the aquarium, my daughter asked to go to a buffet and it was her bday. We Yelped and found Kings Buffet right up the street so it was convenient. Upon entering you see how big and nicely decorated it is. The manager greeted us at the door with humor and it was so inviting. He also walked us over to our table himself. The food selection was typical of an asian buffet although they didn't have egg rolls and their ragoons were a little on the sweet side. I also didn't care for their sweet and sour sauce but I prefer mine thicker. My hubby said their watermelon was bad. I don't usually get fruit myself. All other food was hot and looked fresh. If you are familiar with Ghengis Grill or Mongolian grills, they have one inside! I was shocked. You choose your ingredients and they cook it for you. Aside from food they had plenty of desserts and a chocolate fountain. The building is pretty big with TVs throughout. Bathroom wasn't rundown like other buffet places. It's well maintained. This is my first time giving a 5-star to a Chinese buffet joint. Yeah you may find it ridiculous, however you can't really ask too much for a Chinese buffet and this place is really as good as it can get. There are plenty of choices of dishes, ranging from broccoli w/beef, stir-fried mushrooms, egg drop soup, fried rice/fried thin noodle, fried calamari, Mongolian BBQ (don't care much for personally) and plenty choices of sushi, which is actually quit nicely rolled and not soggy or came apart easily. There is 3-different types of cakes available, plenty of fruit and jello, and of course the chocolate fountains and ice cream machines are all there. The tables are nicely spaced out and your dishes are picked up quit quickly, it is quit noisy IMO but hey conversations are perfectly okay between me and my wife. For the price I paid, this is def. somewhere I would return when I am back in town later on. BTW, by the time I was leaving the restaurant around 6:30pm on a Friday afternoon, there were plenty of people waiting to be seated. So show up earlier if you want to skip the line!!!! read more
