Every time I get to come and spend a few weeks here I wish I lived in Knoxville so this could be my home gym. It's a fun, welcoming gym family and awesome facility that accommodates every level of gym-goer. Each year when I come for my holiday visit in Knoxville I'm excited to spend some time at Exclusive Fitness and sad to leave. By far the best gym atmosphere I've experienced in Knoxville and one of the top anywhere.

I must say that I have loved this place. Definitely the friendliest gym environment I have ever experienced. I use free weights and do sprints between sets and the indoor track is perfect for this. Spin class with Ronnda is always fun and challenging, and their yoga and body pump classes are great too. At first, I loved this gym under previous ownership. I loved the women's only room and the theater…read moreroom, and actually liked going to the gym. But they were pretty sneaky about the change in ownership and raised their fees without announcing it, because they had signs saying there was new management, but not mentioning there would be any change in membership fees to look out for. When I started noticing every month I was being charged an insane amount, I told them and asked why that was happening and they said with the new ownership there was a raise in fees. They also did admit that I was actually still being overcharged "accidentally" and they had been finding their system had been doing this to "many" people. So they admitted it was their fault but still refused to refund the amount they had been overcharging me. But even when they lowered it, it was still the increased fee, which was not part of the contract I had signed when signing up for the gym. When I told them this, they tried to gaslight me that I had always been paying the increased fee despite my bank records proving otherwise, and when I asked them to pull out my physical contract I signed in person, they said they lost a lot of contracts while doing a transfer of stuff under new management and couldn't find it. The amenities might be great here, but the company became a gross, manipulative, and exploitative thing. Finally I demanded to cancel my membership since I realized they can cheat me out of my money whenever and then refuse to refund me even when they admit it was their mistake, and that was like $400. I'm still upset about this because they completely ruined a great place

I think big box gyms have their place everyone has different reasons for why they entertain fitness in their life and I think that each one of them offer something for a specific client. For me whether I'm in off-season or training to compete I want a rugged gym and I want the equipment to be well-maintained I want to hear loud music over the speakers and I want to smell sweat and bodies at work! I don't want to see a bunch of rules posted on the walls about what I can't do weights I can't drop bills that are going to ring if I bring my gym bag on my gallon water jug to the floor and most of all I don't want to get hit with a 36 month contract in a bunch a high-pressure sales people telling me about how great their gym is if it doesn't sell itself when I walk in the door then it's not the right gym. All of that to say absolutely fell in love with this local gym the minute I walked in the door and I will tell you that it's not for everyone it has a certain style a certain laid-back vibe no pressure sales for gym memberships it's $30 a month. The equipment is immaculate and there is some thing to train every part of your body I love the different quadrants at the gym where you can fully focus on machines free weights tire work chain work and sprinters. I finally found a gym home and no matter where you are in your fitness journey from bodybuilding down to getting in the best shape starting exactly where you are I would highly recommend this gym. Maybe I can reopen my meal prep business here looks like there might be a need for Coaching In The Kitchen again

Unfortunately, when I arrived, there was a sign on the door stating they don't have any day passes. You can JOIN the gym, but to do so they need payment for your first and last month upfront, as well as your bank information for future payments. If I lived anywhere near here, I would have no problem doing that. But I am in the middle of a cross country trip with my dog, and will only be here till the end of my workout. To make matters worse, I hired someone to watch my dog while I worked out, so I wouldn't get in trouble for leaving her in my car. Now I have to find somewhere else to workout before they call to let me know it's time to pick up my dog. A simple statement on their website would have helped save me a ton of heartache before making my way to this gym, only to be turned away....
