My former employer, Jamilyn Dulin, along with Illisha Collazo, Misty, Maria, and Jamilyn-Dulin Collazo and her wife--all tied to the ownership or operation of Maids and More--has failed to pay us for over a month of work at Verizon, and we are still owed three months of wages for another job in Marion, IL. Throughout this time, Jamilyn has been repeatedly dishonest with her employees, telling us she couldn't pay due to lack of funds--while taking vacations and citing various hospital visits with no valid documentation. Despite all this, we continued working out of professionalism and good faith. When we finally reported these issues to both the Department of Labor and the company she is currently contracted through, Super Clean, we were wrongfully terminated in retaliation for speaking up. Super Clean has since stated they will be pulling her stores, but in case she posts elsewhere or tries to hire more staff under false pretenses, I wanted to speak out and warn others before they get involved. This is about more than missing paychecks--it's about basic respect, accountability, and standing up for what's right. The person/owner I talked to on the phone told me the price up front. They were able to arrive the same day and remove the items for the agreed upon price. Communication after my initial call was via texting, which was clear and to the point. Everything went without a hitch for a price I thought was very fair. Our project was delayed several times due to unforeseen circumstances outside their control, but The Way Construction patiently worked with us as we worked through the delays. I got a quote from The Way, it was reasonable, and all reviews of them online were positive, so I paid the required half up front to get "on the schedule". The check cleared on 7/17/25, so I called that day to get scheduled. I was told I'd receive a call back within 24-48 hours. After not hearing back from them, I called again on 7/28/25. I did receive a call back later that day, and it was at that point I learned there wasn't a "schedule". I was put on a list, and told I'd receive a call/text the week before they came. They said it'd be 4-8 weeks before they could come. On 9/29/25 (9 weeks later), I called to get an update. I received a voicemail from Kyle saying the repair order had been sent out this week, and the crews should be out next week. He said he'd call if anything changes. They did not come the next week, nor did I get notified about it. I called them on 10/10/25 (end of the 10th week) and was told the production team would give me a call back within 24-48 hours. I did not get a call back, so I called again on 10/14/25 (11 weeks later). I got a call back from Kyle later that day; he said he was waiting to hear back from the gutter crew. They came on Monday 10/20/25 (12 weeks later) completely unannounced. Of course, it was when I was out of town, so I reviewed their work when I returned on 10/24/25. Their work was satisfactory EXCEPT they forgot to connect one of the downspouts to the underground drainage. So I called them on 10/24/25 to inform them of the issue. Kyle called me back that day. I texted photos of the issue to him, and he said they should be able to fix it next week. Nothing happened the next week. So on Wed 11/5/25 (14 weeks) I texted Kyle. He responded they'd be out either tomorrow or Friday. On 11/13/25 (15 weeks), it still hadn't been fixed. I texted Kyle again. He sent Jonathan out that day to look at it, to get a bill of materials, and that he'd be fixing it the next morning. On 11/20/25 (16 weeks), Jonathan came out and fixed the issue. Sooo...the time from my deposit being cashed and the project completion was 16 weeks. I finally received a bill for the remainder on 1/7/26...which is what has prompted me to post this review. I do not recommend The Way Construction.

Joe, the owner of 1st Patriot, gave her her estimate and guaranteed that she would be completely satisfied with their services or they would keep working on it until she was satisfied. They were originally scheduled to start on the Monday July 6. They told her they would call the day before to confirm. After not getting any kind of confirmation, she messaged them and asked if there were any changes. He replied Sunday NIGHT July 5, via text that they were running over on their previous job, and would be there Monday afternoon to start prepping. Monday evening, she messaged them and they told her they were "not coming until Tuesday afternoon, remember." She did ask if they would be wearing masks, but he did not acknowledged the request at first. When she asked a second time, he said they were "all out". I personally came to the jouse during the job and not a single painter was wearing a mask. They did an incredibly unprofessional and all around half-assed job. When she tried to discuss the issues, Tony, the manager, tried to intimidate her by yelling at her. She reached out to Joe multiple times but received no responses. They quoted her that it would be a 2 day job and ended up not being done until Friday because thet had to fix so many of their errors. They did not clean up as they went and tracked paint dust through the house. Therr were several spots where the paint was so thin. You could see the colors underneath. (Previously a very pale blue and very pale purple in 2 rooms) they tried to "trim" or "frame" light switches, etc and the walls ended up looking like they had patched a hole in the wall. They dripped and smeared paint in several places. Things like putting light fixtures and smoke alarms back that were never done either. We sent pictures to both Joe and Tony to show where they left paint on wood trim and cabinets so the sent one guy in to "clean it up" (still not wearing a mask). Tony informed her Thursday evening that she would need to get them a check asap so they could "close out the job" even though she explained she was still not satisfied with the job that was done. She messaged Joe and asked that she be able to speak with him about the job because she did not want to speak with Tony again after his inappropriate behavior towards her. Joe never apologized for the horrible experience. He informed her he would "be able to meet some time next week, but was unavailable to meet her that day." He never contacted her after that day. When she posted her experience recently... 1st Patriot decided that their best course of action was to not only be unprofessional once again, but also to exhibit incredibly rude, insulting, and absolutely unacceptable behavior. Be very cautious if you ever consider using 1st Patriot for any job because THIS is the experience you have to look forward to.
