If you or anyone else you know needs to hire an estate sale company, there is no one better than Kim's Estate Sales. Within 9 days, Kim was able to sort the items, set the sale up, advertise, do presales, and complete the actual sale. She and her family are the kindest people, I felt connected to them immediately. This might sound weird, but having someone working in your childhood home, with your family's belongings, can be a vulnerable experience, however, I felt nothing but comfort. She was extremely respectful of me, my home, and its contents. Kim's work ethic was obvious from our first meeting, she wasn't scheduled to start working until the next day- instead, she and her family starting sorting that same day. Kim worked every single day from the day I met her, until after the cleanup. This shows pure dedication to both her client and her work. She created a beautiful boutique within my home, every single item was thoughtfully displayed. It was clear that not only does she have a wonderful, artistic eye, but that she genuinely enjoys what she's doing. I had a few fears about having an estate sale, the biggest one being unclear about what would happen to the remaining items. Incredibly, she was able to sale most of the items, and what was left over, she arranged to have donated to different organizations. My family did not have to do any work regarding this; Kim and her associates completely cleared the house out of everything that I didn't want to keep. A few of my neighbors and acquaintances came to the sale, and they mentioned how beautifully the house was set up, additionally, they took the time to say lovely things about Kim and her family. I cannot thank Kim and her family enough for being so wonderful to both my mother and I. Please look through the pictures to see Kim's set-up.

In need of a Estate Sale Co. to clear out my home in Rancho Mirage, this past weekend. After…read moreinterviewing and walk throughs of my home with three different Estate Sale Companies in Coachella, I chose what I felt was a well established, experienced company. I am very thankful I made the correct choice. Triumphant Estate Sales, with Todd at the helm, made me (the client) , their TOP priority. Triumphant handled the ENTIRE Estate sale process from staging, appraisals, pricing, staffing, sales AND even helped buyers with delivery scheduling. The professionalism Todd showed to "dealers" who were working to underpay for prime items was impressive to view. Important to note, Todd brought in buyers as far as the LA area which increased my sales tremendously. Consequently, because of the experience Todd displayed, by the end of the sale day Sunday everything I wanted to sell SOLD - which was the entire contents of my home. 1000's of Antiques and Collectables all sold at the fair market prices I requested of Todd. I was and am still AMAZED! Todd delivered on everything he said he would in our initial interviewing process. I highly recommend Triumphant Estate Sales for everyone's estate sale needs.

This company used an app for wait list so there were no problems with stressful lines. The house was small but everything was laid out nicely for viewing. Todd is a professional, master seller who also has a great deal of kindness. This is a top tier estate company and I highly recommend them.

Clearing out your family home of 40+ years is a daunting task not for the faint of heart, and…read moreyou're better off with an expert by your side. That expert would be Penny Katz and her team at Penny & Pig. They have many years of experience doing estate sales. Penny is resourceful, has an eye for appraisals, and has the qualifications and large network to make your sale and clear-out a success. She can give you the right options for on-premise, online and auction-house sales. She will help with final clear-out and donation of items that don't sell and will provide a receipt for taxes. She'll communicate with you throughout the entire process, and if she says she'll do something, she's good for her word. She is honest and trustworthy. She is respectful of your stuff and careful to not damage your floors when moving furniture. Plus she is a genuinely nice person with an upbeat, can-do personality, and she clearly loves her work. Some lessons learned along the way: 1) If you plan to engage the services of an estate liquidator, do it sooner than later. I made the mistake of clearing out "too much" only to have most companies tell me it wasn't worth their time and effort. Apparently, this is an all too common mistake. It's better to hire a professional to help you sort through and valuate items for sale at the very beginning before you start donating or throwing things out. Don't wait until your house is in escrow and you're in a time crunch. 2) You won't get much for furniture--even antiques--no matter how good of a condition they're in, unless they are in demand (i.e., mid-century modern). Sad but true: the price is whatever the market will bear. Have realistic expectations, and you're better off donating furniture to family and friends. 3) If you have a piano, it's extremely hard to find an interested buyer or even a charity who will take it off your hands, as the market is currently glutted with used pianos. If you're just starting the clear-out process, the piano should be your number one priority because it'll be the most difficult item to get rid of. 4) The price you paid for an item doesn't necessarily determine its value in the current marketplace--for example, expensive luggage, cameras, and electronics will sell at a fraction of their original value. 5) What will get you the most money are jewelry and collectibles. DO get an appraisal for these ahead of time. 6) Don't get rid of books, clothing, dishes, tools, toys and other knick knacks ahead of your sale. These lower-value "filler" items are what will draw buyers to your sale and will bring in more cash for you. 7) Finally...hire the best. HIRE PENNY & PIG!! They do a fantastic job and I would not hesitate to hire them again.

Penny has been absolutely great! After consulting with…read moreseveral estate sales agents, I learned that the standard charge is 40% and it takes up to four weeks to put on a professional estate sale. So no. I didn't get to use her expertise as our estate sales agent, but she gave us some great valuable information on putting on our own estate sales. I used the estate sales links she suggested and they brought in people from great distances. Our signage brought a great crowd too. BUT!!! I highly recommend --- DON'T DO IT YOURSELF!!!! I was pressed to remove the contents of my mother's home much sooner than a professional sales would complete a sale. Yet, I will never let this time pressure control the issue again! Penny's expertise expands all levels! She advertises. Completes signage. Provides adequate pricing. And knows about crowd management, which we came short handed at one point. She's knowledgable in antiques, vintage, jewelry, and coin. Through this personal experience, trying to dispose of my mother's estate, I confirmed Penny's estimates (which seemed low) on what to sell my mother's very high quality items, and yet I still didn't get that value. So, don't be disappointed that your loved ones antiques and such don't sell at your high expectations. People just aren't buying it!!! Penny also passed my impression as a good honest person. Who else would help out in so many ways? Hiring an estate sales person is worth the cost all the way!! So why not hire someone like Penny and Pig Estate Sales? HIRE PENNY!!!
