Finally got to try this place! I saw impressive reviews on Yelp and always wanted to try it out but never had a chance until last night. It was a tiring day and I was too lazy to cook so I decided to try KIMBOP out. I got a steak bulgogi which comes with miso soup, rice, spring rolls, and salad. Everything was so fresh and delicious. We found this little hidden treasure because I was looking for a Korean restaurant with good reviews. I'm so happy that we made plans to go. This small place is located in a warehouse district close to Tamiami Airport in Kendall but don't let the location keep you from visiting. We ordered the couple's dinner option which included two selections of meat. We ordered the beef and pork bulgogi. The meats were so flavorful and perfectly cooked. This combo also came with Korean sweet potato noodles which were delicious but we were disappointed with the very tiny portion that was served. I think that they should at least serve two cups of the noodles. We also received four variety of rolls, two beef and two veggie and all were delicious. We plan to go back and have the beef and pork bulgogi with a roll on the side. The presentation of this platter is beautiful. I was so excited to try everything that I forgot to take a picture. This is a fairly new place so its so clean and cutely decorated with kpop things. The servers are all really friendly but I must say that the food is a bit pricey for the amount you get. I don't like that you can't get a single roll of kimbap because they only serve it in sets. In addition, each set comes with 3 types of kimbap, and each type of kimbap only comes with four pieces instead of one roll with 8-10 pieces. The spicy rice cakes were just ok and a bit on the spicier side. If you had a really big craving for Korean food, it can fill a craving but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. read more

A very overpriced Korean restaurant with average food. I suggest you stay clear of this place, and instead patronize the many other restaurants in the area. I ordered the Steak Bulgogi Meal, with a side of Kimchi. The banchan that came with the was flavorless, except for the Gyeran Mari which was good. The actual bulgogi was very thickly cut, and was not fatty enough, which gave it a slightly unpleasant liver-y flavor, but it was serviceable. The biggest disappointment was the kimchi, which was bland, as if it did not have time to properly ferment. However, the bigger issue is that they charge $1.5 for literally a spoon of kimchi (see photo). For the food that we got, they have no business charging a penny over $10, which would have been fair, and would have bumped the score up to 3 stars. But as it stands, I am being very generous by giving them 2 stars, given Miami's lack of Korean options. read more

This family owned and run restaurant is a gem of gems. Fine food, great service, lovely presentation and reasonable prices. And they just might have the best wings in town; the ones with chili sauce are fantastic. And the kimbop and other Korean dishes are delicious. Eating here is not just a good meal, it's a cultural experience. We've been going there since they opened and are pleased to see that they are doing so well. Best honey chicken I've EVER had. I'm pretty picky with my friend chicken. I don't want it to have unnecessary overloads of fried parts to it. A slight fry, if you will. Wow. What a GEM in the West Kendall area! After a long day of visiting family and getting groceries, we were looking to take home something different for dinner. There are a couple of spots in West Kendall we love to dine at whenever we're there, but we decided to try something new and opened up Yelp for some ideas. It was awesome to see that the area has new dining options in general, but KIMBOP stood out to us due to the outstanding reviews for its Korean cuisine! In my entire childhood of growing up in West Kendall, I hadn't dined at a Korean restaurant in the area, so this was a very interesting development! KIMBOP is take-out only, so we ordered ahead with tip online, and swung by to pick it up after running errands. We ordered the "Couples Platter" ($33.99) which came with several rolls we hadn't eaten before (two of them meat-centered I believe, with meat and pork, and a more traditional veggie roll) Korean Noodles (Japchae), and two meats of our choice. We opted for the Spicy Pork and Mild Chicken. To ensure the both of us had more than enough noodles, I ordered an extra Japchae ($7.99) with Bulgogi sauce on the side. The food was ready for pick-up in about 45 minutes. After getting home, we immediately dug in and were simply impressed at the quality of the food. Both the pork and chicken were tender cuts of meat, perfectly sauced, and the rolls that came with the platter were bigger than your average sushi roll. I personally would not have gone for a beef roll, but KIMBOP made me a believer. The noodles were excellent and filling, and both side sauces we received (traditional sweet/tangy sauce for beef, and a delicious mustardy fish oil sauce) complemented the food. We will definitely be ordering from KIMBOP in the future! Can't wait to try out their Korean Fried Wings, Mandu, and some of the other protein platters. As of now, KIMBOP is takeout online. If you take my advice and order from them, PLEASE remember to tip! You will not regret ordering from this West Kendall gem! read more

I was lucky enough to have my sis in law share with us a party platter of kimbop deliciousness. Kimbop is a take out/delivery restaurant with simply good Korean food. They have many affordable party platters and meals that are great for sharing with guests and the food is flavorful and tasty. We shared kimbop platter that feeds five and includes japchae noodles. The kimbop rolls were delicious and similar to sushi rolls as they are wrapped in seaweed. However, the ingredients are different and the flavors are more savory. We enjoyed the Miami roll and Korean BBQ steak roll. The platter was big enough to feed five. We shared with 4 adults and 1 kid and had food left over. The recommendation for this place came up in my search for dinner last night, and after reading prior comments and reviews , I decided to order and try it out! Went with the 6 piece Miami Roll and the BBQ Korean Chicken dinner meal, spicy. Portion size was good enough to split with my spouse. The Miami Roll has avocado, paprika, cucumber, carrots, pickled radish and eggs all wrapped in rice and dried seaweed with Japchae (Korean Noodles). Dip it in the sauce it comes with and it is ooh so enjoyable! So yummy! The chicken was very tasty and not very spicy at all. It came with white rice, stir fried cabbage and more of the Japchae. My Wife decided she wanted some Korean food for lunch. So we ventured down the road to try this restaurant. Small and unassuming you might drive by it even though it is in a shopping center with a fee other restaurants. Upon entering we were greeted immediately and shown to a table. We asked how long they have been open and we were told 5 months at that particular location. There was only one person greeting, seating, and taking orders. And just for that alone she deserved a big tip for juggling all those duties. She even managed to handle the orders that were to go. My wife ordered the kimbop combo with spicy pprk and I ordered the steak bulgogi with rice. My wife loves spicy food me not so much but she said it wasn't spicy enough for her and that I could have eaten it without any problems. So note if you want it spicy order some extra chill paste and yeah there is a charge for that. My steak bulgogi was pretty good was tender and had great flavor. The portion size was filling to me. When I come back k I want to try the chicken and the Korean wings. My wife also got a Korean iced coffee, she did say it tasted just like she had when she lived in Korean.
