Finally saw this truck parked along Victory Blvd this past Saturday and figured "Let's stop by for a quick snack!" There weren't any lines when we got there but after we ordered, we noticed a long line started forming after us. Let me start off by saying - this truck is ran by the cutest and sweetest Korean woman. She was so kind when taking our orders and occasionally goes to assist her son (who preps and makes all the orders). My boyfriend and I wanted something light that day so we ordered their 4pc spicy tuna on crispy rice & their golden balls (each order comes with 3pc). The spicy tuna on crispy rice - this was 4 pieces of perfectly butter-grilled rice topped with spice tuna and avocado and on top she adds in their eel sauce, ranch, sriracha, and sesame seeds. The rice wasn't too crunchy, wasn't too soft, it was a perfect combination of crispy and soft. I was a little skeptical when I saw ranch was added BUT their ranch didn't even taste like ranch! It almost tasted like their own aioli sauce! And honestly, it was pretty great! Golden balls - Tempura fried california rolls with eel sauce, ranch, and mango chutney. This was one my favorites. The tempura california itself was soft, hot, and the chutney's sweetness paired incredibly well with the eel sauce and ranch! All of this was about $13. Don't let the pictures fool you because even though they may look small in terms of portion, it's FILLING. You can tell they really put in alot of love in making each dish. First of all this review is over a span of multiple visits to this establishment. I tried a number of their menu items and thought It was perfectly average. I tried the sushi Rex. Portions were ok, flavor was lacking. The rice needs more seasoning. The imitation crab meat was dry. The fish seemed fresh but was warm. I also had their miso soup and it was lumpy. I guess the miso paste had not dissolved completely. The flavor was a little bit salty. The tofu in it was tough and dry. One time my friend ordered the chicken teriyaki and she said the chicken was dry and the vegetables were mushy. She thinks there might have been frozen ingredients being used. She also ate phoenix burrito which had the shrimp tempura and said it was not cleaned properly as it was not deveined. She also noted that when she was going to the restroom she saw an older male employee bring out the rice in plastic bags. She said it was steaming like it might have been microwaved in the back. She also noted that the kitchen line was extremely cluttered and dirty. We were lucky enough to not get sick. Also all the times we have visited this establishment the service times have been relatively slow considering there were no other customers present. Overall opinion is the place is mid. read more

Great idea to have your sushi in a burrito form. We got the Big Fat Alaskan and the spicy tuna. Both came with ginger and wasabi and a sauce on the side with soy sauce. The wait wasn't long and a few people ahead of me. Took about 15min. The burritos both were good but not as good as going to eat it at a good sushi Resturant. It had flavor but was lacking something. It wasn't a "Wow" moment for me but my partner did enjoy it and we would come back again as it beats Ralph's sushi lol. They also sells drinks on ice and is well refreshing. The real superstar was the Golden Balls (tempura fried California roll with sauce) which I ordered on a whim ($2), literally one of the best things I've ever eaten. We stopped here on a whim after a quick Target pick-up. We saw the truck and honestly, I was a little turned off as I'm not a fan of Korean fusion (I thought there was a pun play, with KimBob and kimbap). We walked closer and saw that they had sushi burritos - also turned off, because I always thought they had too much rice! BUT, it was the spirit of the holidays, and I decided to try something new. I ordered one of their best sellers (sushi rex), and let me tell you, I was BLOWN AWAY with how good it was! I was so happy to have enjoyed the food, considering I was pre-judging it. My burrito was wrapped with soy paper and it was preferred when compared to others rolled in seaweed. The fish was fresh, and all of the flavors complimented each other so well. Our small side of seaweed salad was also very flavorful - and not too sweet or slimy! Portion size looked small but at the end, I was pretty full. The truck is ran by an older Korean lady and a younger gentleman (son maybe?). The gentleman was preparing all of the food towards the back while the older lady took orders and went back to assist as needed. She was so sweet and kind and I would be more than happy to bring more business to her. It was a little pricey, but it makes sense when you remember that: 1. Food trucks are always more expensive 2. Sushi isn't cheap! (And if it is, you should probably go elsewhere). Overall, pretty good experience with food truck foods! read more

I was welcomed enthusiastically by one of the owners I believe. After looking over the menu, I went with the T-Rex burrito which was delicious and so filling. I could only finish half. I also tried the golden balls which are 2 pieces of deep fried California roll with eel sauce and a garlic sauce. They were very good too. They were pretty quick with service and there was plenty of seating in there to wait and/or eat. Looking forward to trying more of their menu! read more
