ZERO stars if I could:…read more I have not encountered such poor customer service in quite some time--likely because I generally choose not to frequent establishments that operate in this manner. My husband and I stopped in while waiting for the rain to pass and decided to inquire about having his Cuban link chain appraised. A young woman with long dark hair approached us to "assist." When we asked if we could have the chain appraised, the exchange went as follows: Customer: Can I get this appraised here? Employee: Yes, but I just work here. So no, I can't do that for you. Customer: (confused) Okay, so then how does an appraisal work? Employee: The jeweler. He's the professional, and he does that. And I told you he wasn't here. At no point prior to this did she inform us that the jeweler was unavailable. Instead, the interaction came across as dismissive, unprofessional, and unnecessarily rude--leaving the impression that she had no interest in earning our business. Establishments should be mindful of the staff they place on the front line, as one poor interaction can easily discourage potential customers from ever returning.

I needed my platinum wedding rings resized and did not want to leave them with just anyone. They helped me immediately, sized my finger, told me the exact process to make the bands larger, and gave me the approximate price for the job. Even better, they gave me a 7-10 day turnaround. Well, in just 7 days flat (and on my birthday to boot), they had my rings ready and looking like they did over 20 years ago! The price was exactly as quoted and was reasonable for the job, especially since they had to add platinum to all 3 rings. Will definitely be back for all my jewelry and watch needs!

I asked them to fix the problem since they didn't account for the larger size due to the extra beads and they wanted to charge me $125 for a full restring. It's on them that the bracelet was now too big and should have been fixed, so it would fit as it did before the restring. I've been a long time customer, even had a custom necklace and earrings created by them and they don't want to fix their error. So I picked up the pearl bracelet and another diamond bracelet I was planning on getting fixed by them but now I'll have to find a new jeweler for repairs and any other custom or purchases in the future. Such a shame, all due to customer non-satisfaction and bad service.

Absolutely unacceptable experience…read more My daughter went into this shop after speaking with someone on the phone who saw photos of her bass guitar and assured her they'd offer a fair trade. When she arrived in person, three men ganged up on her, using scare tactics and bullying behavior to pressure her into a bad trade. Despite her showing valid ID (she's nearly 19), they bizarrely claimed she was only 17 and not even allowed to be in the store. Whether this was part of their intimidation or just ignorance, it's completely unprofessional and inappropriate. No young woman should be treated this way--especially by a group of adults in a business setting. This shop clearly takes advantage of people, and their tactics are shady at best. I would strongly advise others, especially younger customers, to avoid this place entirely.

The staff wrapped both well in bubble wrap and tissue paper. I carefully carried the two items home on the plane. When I got home, I gently eased apart the necklace clasp to put it on. It broke in half. A clean break along a weak line in the wooden clasp. I took pictures and prepared for a fight with the store when I called to ask for a refund or a replacement. Much to my delight, when I spoke with Sharon, she told me not to bother sending her any pictures or a copy of the receipt. She simply said, "We trust our customers. I'll just send you another necklace." And she did. Amazing. No doubt I will revisit her store when I am next in New Smyrna. In a world congested with "customer non-service departments" that might as well be saying to consumers, "ummm, well, we'll need the original receipt, a notarized affidavit about why you feel you are entitled to a refund/replacement, a copy of your birth certificate, and a video tape in real time of the moment when you realized that the item was defective.", Sharon's approach is not only refreshingly genuine customer service, but also is just downright honest.
