My friends and I stopped by randomly on a Saturday evening and had a great time! When we first walked in, you could tell it was very lively, with lots of people and loud music. I would say, though, that the music was just a bit too loud that it made it harder to hear people at the table/our server. It may have been for an event at that moment, since it seemed to be pretty loud when we first got in and wasn't as loud (or we got used to it) later on. We were seated very quickly and our server was great about checking in with just enough time to view the menu before ordering. My friend suggested the shepherd's pie and I went for it even though I've had lackluster experiences before. I'm so glad I listened because this was the most flavorful and seasoned shepherd's pie, with so much flavor coming out of each bite! I got a small, and it was the perfect size for a full dinner, and I strongly recommend it if you've ever wanted to try shepherd's pie with tons of flavor! Absolutely loved this Irish pub! The prices were fantastic, and the burgers were absolutely delicious--cooked to perfection with so much flavor. In looking for a restaurant to celebrate our daughter's graduation, we fortunately went to Killarney's Pub and Grill. David Nichols and his team made it easy and enjoyable for our 50 guests. He checked for availability, reserved the room. A few days before the party, we were able to select and confirm the menu items we wanted. On the day of the event, we showed up a bit early and they even helped us decorate. The food was delicious, with everyone commenting on how good the food was. Went to Killarney's tonight for the first time to eat. I figured I'd go "simple" and get chicken tenders. They were AMAZING!! Literally the juiciest, best flavored chicken and they were HUGE! Our waitress had recommended I get them "naked" vs coated in the options of sauce, I'm glad I took her advice. She brought all the sauces out to try on the side and they were delicious as well, but I was glad I got to appreciate the chicken plain. Highly recommend!! read more

Ok, it's a bar, bars are loud, I get it.... I go to Hooleys quite often in La Mesa, but this bar is sooo loud, that my party and our server had to shout back and forth several times, just to get our order straight. The music was piping in over our heads so loud that I couldn't enjoy my out of town company! I ended up getting a headache by the end of the night, from all the shouting... Speaking of shouting, there was an obnoxiously loud patron, visibly drunk and shouting at the tv every 5 minutes. 20/10... You know those places you find that are *so good* you kiiiinda don't want to tell people about? This place, this is that place. The entire place was literally built in Ireland and shipped over. There are like hideouts you can sit in and just be away from everyone if you want, huge bar, TVs but not so many it's hot/loud/annoying, but you can still glance over and catch a score. Food, freaking great. Huge selection for everyone of traditional Irish to traditional American bar food. Service was great. They were on it but like funny and not overbearing.
