My first and second experience getting a tattoo was here at this shop. Courtesy of a friend who had frequented this shop and had gotten some solid work done here. I will be the first to tell you my Portuguese is virtually non-existent, but thankfully they had some staff that spoke English so we were able to communicate my desires. Kiko did my second tattoo I told him the idea I had and the coloring I wanted and he just free handed drew it and it looked amazing. Upon arriving home my friends thought I was crazy and were convinced I was going to get some sort of blood borne illness from getting at tattoo overseas but honestly this shop was incredibly clean and certainly not an operation that does shoddy work. They're well established and certainly had a steady stream of people coming in so that should say something on its own. Several years later the tattoos have held up quite well. All of the staff there were very friendly and welcoming if in the area again and if I ever figure out what I want for my next tattoo, I wouldn't hesitate to go here. Mind you the prices were comparable to what I paid in the US for my third tattoo but honestly there are some things you shouldn't skimp on when it comes to cost and quality. read more
