I took the bottle in and the woman behind the counter informed me that they did not have the same medicine brand but had one with the same active ingredient. The cost was great, the service was great and she even gave me a free travel pack of tissues. I would definitely recommend this apothecary if you are sick and in Munich.

My fiancé and I are from the States and took our engagement photos in Munich. I looked to Yelp for…read moresalons around the Marienplatz (city center). I didn't realize a lot of the salons in Munich are closed on Monday's. Luckily, Kryolan is open and I settled on Kryolan for make-up because of the good rating. I emailed Kryolan to make an appointment for make-up only and Saskia emailed me back and let me know she could also do my hair too (score!) so I got both done. I arrived at the appointment early and was greeted with a nice cup of coffee. Saskia saw me almost right away. I can speak a little bit of German and was a bit worried about the language barrier. Saskia could also speak a little bit of English. I think we communicated pretty well. Everything turned out great. I was there for about two hours and got a "natürlicher" make-up look and my hair curled. I usually don't wear much make-up and having foundation on is very rare for me. My make-up looked professionally done but it wasn't too much (which is exactly what I wanted!). The salon was professional and very clean. Saskia even helped me hail a taxi when I was leaving. The hair and make-up came out to be 98€ (before tip) which I thought was fair considering that is probably the amount I would pay at home. Overall, a great experience. If I ever need make-up or hair done again in Munich, I will definitely come back.

I was surprised when I started an web search that I could not find a black barbershop in Munich…read more After several days of searching I came across a mention of a shop in Munich. I called and they said come on in. The owner is a fellow from New York named Oscar. He was cool and the barber that cut my hair did a great job and only charged 5 Euro for a line. A cut is 10 Euro. The front of the barbershop was a store that sells black hair products. I will repeat when in Munich. Update: I do not like is how on Saturdays this barbershop becomes a hangout. It's particularly disturbing when you bring a lady to the barbershop with you and a bunch of guys start gawking at her the whole time you are there. Almost a nightclub like atmosphere. In addition the cleanliness is the worst I have ever seen in a barbershop. Mounds of hair everywhere that clearly have been there for days. They do not clean the clippers beforehand and they have no astringent to disinfect. Unfortunately in my world travels I have noticed that black barbershops are not up to the hygiene standards of US barbershops. Sad state of affairs for one of the few black barbershops in Munich.

I have visited the barbershop twice. The haircuts left a lot to be desired…read more Firstly, quality of hair cut. The barbers are are always in a rush, cut unevenly, and seem pre-occupied with conversations with each other or other patrons. Severally, I had to ask the barber not to scratch my scalp with the machine. And once done, they do a very poor job in cleaning the hair off you. Secondly, hygiene. This is a major issue. The space is just not clean. Hair all over, The hair brushes used are dirty. Instead of a towel, they will use baby wipes! Yes, baby wipes for a grown man's head. That's plain wrong. In all, it is a poor experience for 15 euro. I caution anyone from visiting this place and would encourage users to recommend other black barbershops in Munich. These guys are abusing their position of being among the few black barbershops in Munich
