Let us get it out of the way, Kid's Stuff is day care, not pre-school. If you are looking for a place to teach your kids a lot about shapes, numbers, letters, and colors, you are looking in the wrong place. But, if you are looking for a safe place for your infant or toddler where they can get in lots of outdor play and socializing, this is the place.
Both my sons went to KSA until they were old enough for school. They loved Ms. Randa (3 yr olds) and Ms. Jan (4 yr olds). They also loved the many hours outdoors on the playground. At their ages (3 & 4), it is this playtime and socializing with other kids we felt they needed.
Kids Stuff does try to teach a little bit of pre-school stuff (colors, shapes, starting letters), but to be frank isn't very rigorous about it.
Several other big pluses for us, compared to other day cares in Clemson/Pendleton area:
1) Longest open hours (06:00 am until 06:00 pm). Many of the other day cares are 8-5:30
2) They provide lunch. It isn't the healthiest stuff, but pretty typical fare for no utensil food.
3) They really care about the kids and notice if they are hurt or not feeling well--and aren't afraid to give them laps and hugs.
4) I think they are the only day care in town that lets you commit less than 5 days/week. For example, if you want to send your kid only two days/week instead of for full week, it will be $70 instead of full price (or was in early 2013, not sure what 2013/14 price will be). read more
