Martin, the founder, was great at reaching out ahead of time to make sure all of my needs were taken care of before the day of. Janelle, the stylist, was awesome. It was my first time having a headshot done and my first time getting makeup done and she made me feel very comfortable throughout the session. Sam, the photographer, was simply phenomenal. Her bright demeanor, energy, and personality were beyond what I could have asked for. I'm someone who typically shies away from having their photos taken but her workflow is so good that you end up having lots of fun and coming out with great photos. The turnaround time on the touch-ups and processing was very quick and you get access to all of the shots taken during your session. I would highly recommend the team at City Headhots! Definitely coming back if I have any other headshot needs.

If you're on the fence about booking, don't hesitate! You'll love it!…read more I had never done a photo shoot like this in my life but scheduled one for my 48th birthday and am so glad I did! The whole process was seamless. Michael was great to work with when it came to scheduling and confirming everything, and the building was easy to find. I took his advice and had the Uber go to the building across the street and it worked like a charm. Dapheney and Philipp were so wonderful when it came to hair and makeup. I felt gorgeous and just told them to do their thing based on what they thought would look best. (And as a bonus, I got to look hot when seeing a Broadway show that night.) I felt like an old Hollywood screen siren. Raya was professional and INCREDIBLE. I used some of her costumes and she helped me feel way more comfortable than I ever thought I could in my skin. She knew the right lighting and angles to bring out my best features, and did I mention it was so FUN? I didn't know I could pose like that. I was able to see all the photos within a day and was blown away by her skill. My boyfriend was so impressed too and had a hard time choosing his favorites because there were so many good ones. We hope to do a session as a couple someday in the future when visiting NYC. If you're thinking about doing a session, book it! This is a present you'll give yourself and it's so worth it.

Hi Nadia, thanks for your reply. I'd like to clarify:…read more My complaint was that you completely blew me off with no explaination after you had asked me some questions and I replied back. The conversation went dead with me wondering if you would ever get back to me, considering your replies were so consistently slow (with an apology each time). The point is, I could have moved on instead of waiting for your response. As someone who books projects, surely you can relate to that. This is the first time I'm hearing that you decided it was not one of the projects which you accept. You could have just sent an email to that effect. You didn't respond at all, after initiating a conversation. I personally find the "ghosting" unprofessional and I came here to say it. Here is what I said again: "Then if she doesn't want the work, she just goes silent. I'm still waiting for any response from over a month ago." Your (very very late) response here has proven my point. This was in April.

She spends time talking with you about the goal of the shoot, what you want to capture, what your kid likes, etc. (Having young children of her own gives Lena insight into how to get the most from the little ones, I think.)
