My favourite find, although I didn't purchase it was a short red dress with a ruffle effect at the top. I was trying to work out where on earth I would wear the dress. I have so many in my wardrobe that I just couldn't possibly, at the minute, justify another buy. So thanks Desire but I need to find a reason for a new purchase, but hope to see you again soon!

Most of the women's clothes were the typical Maxi dresses and sun dresses that are in style this summer (2010), though they were cheap ones, and the men's items were mainly T-shirts and shoes but there were some other items as well. Ah, what more can be said? After a while these shops all start to seem the same. If you're looking for some cheap clothes, have a gander around here, and then move on to the samey-samey (as my husband says) shops around it.

As far as alterations, I can't really vouch for them since I have never taken anything here to be altered. But I'm sure you can ask them about their experience, and their procedures to get an idea of what they will do and how much it will cost. For craft supplies, they do sell very little, but they have a fairly good selection of ribbons, and a small section of knitting wool (or yarn, as it's really called, for goodness sake! Heh heh.) If you're after craft supplies, try the Birkenhead Market or the St Johns Retail Market as there are better craft stalls there, or find one of the many Abakan stores as they have far more variety.

They sell dresses, coats, tops, trousers, and a small selection of jewellery. The clothes around the £20 mark. They have lovely stuff, mostly flowy, floral numbers. Its a good place to come for some inexpensive summer outfits. Its only a small shop though so can feel a bit cramped once you get a hnadful of customers in.

From the outside the shop looks very small and dark but once you get through the door it's a very different story. The shop is massive inside, extending round the corner to a whole new large area, and it is bright and airy inside. The shop is well stocked, supplyoing every type of clothing item you can thing of. There are items of all styles and sizes, suited to many different ages. I expected to leave empty handed but this was definitely not the case and I havwe been back many times.

Inside the shop, clothes are neatly set out in piles or hung up on wooden hangers (which always indicates that you won't be paying cheap prices). I like the clothes and on special occasions I splurge out on my boyfriend, who doesn't really like brand clothes, but that is not the point, I do to some extent. There is a good selection of brands including John Smedley, Matinique, Hilfiger, Nicholas Deakins and Fila. If splurging out I bother with the shirts rather than the trousers, followed closely by the shoes. Of all three, I prefer the selection of shirts in Designer Boutique the best.
