We had quite a bit of trouble, trying to get our easy order filled. We had a gift card to use, and nobody could figure out how to run it. (It was a brand new card which worked fine at a different restaurant) When we finally got our food, it wasn't even hot or cooked properly! The restaurant and restrooms weren't very clean. I'm not sure if they were all new, or just didn't care. The atmosphere wasn't conducive to enjoying a meal. There are other KFCs to visit. read more

Walked in to the newly remodeled KFC around 12 on a Sun. The young man taking my order told me it would be a 25 min wait...what? He said they didn't have enough chicken cooked....come on 12pm on Sun? One man who apparently was waiting for some time walked out saying, I can't get chicken at a chicken place! I went ahead and ordered anyway. I asked for 2 breasts meal and 3 piece chicken tenders meal. First of all let me say the chicken tenders were the size of my fingers, I mean really small pieces, not what you'd expect from a popular fried chicken place and certainly not like on the picture posted on the menu, so disappointing! I did say something about it to someone who may have been the manger and all he could say was "That's how they come...and what do you want me to do about it?" wow! then he proceeded to abruptly throw them in the trash. the meal cost around $10 with tax. He did ask if I would like something else which I asked for a chicken sandwich meal replacement, and it was awful, the chicken sandwich was like cardboard, being over cooked and extra crispy with way too much fried breading on it, not like the usual chicken sandwiches which I love. This was a to go order. So before I received my order I went up again to the counter to mention the 2 breasts meal, which was not described on my receipt correctly, usually you pay extra for that. he said it would not be a problem, but when I got home it was a reg 2 piece white meal with breast and wing, 3 strikes! I understand they had just reopened but come on...there's no excuse for rudeness and it's certainly not what you'd expect for a popular chain to to overcook and serve very small portions of food. l love KFC! I hope they make improvements soon, or I will not be patronizing the restaurant. They could take some pointers from Raising Canes and Popeyes! read more

think about walking into the Clydesdale stalls at Grants farm. The smell of dirt, hair, and horse shit in the air, now fucking deep fry it and put it in my French fries. That smell perfectly encapsulates what I just accidentally consumed at the Kentucky Fried Chicken in Waterloo, IL. The second I bit into what looked to be an over cooked french fry nub, the God-awful taste filled my tongue. Out of fear and poor reaction skills, I immediately swallowed without a second thought. As i continue to gag and feel the urge to yack 30 minutes after the fact, I regret ever ordering at KFC after nearly a decade of avoiding it, and I regret more the lack of evidence. I am aware that my lack of evidence makes my story seem unlikely, but I am truly traumatized from this experience. read more

so .... the other day KFC got my order wrong. I wanted cole slaw and instead got mashed potatoes. This type of thing has happened before: you know; your in the drive thru and order a bunch of stuff and only when you get home do you realize you do not have exactly what you ordered. Well, in this case I called and spoke to John who told me that he would replace the entire order. I really only wanted the cole slaw, but was fine with it. So two days later i walked in and spoke with John and I simply wanted a family bucket of chicken and I said I would pay the difference from the last order. He told me not to worry about it and even included three sides. So... KUDOS and thanks so much for taking care of us. I will be back. read more

I liked the local KFC a lot better when they were a single restaurant, a lot more variety on the menu, now that it is a KFC/Taco Bell it seems the wait is longer through drive thru, and the menu is basic, the food is ok, like most fast food places it can be hit or miss, sometimes the food is hot and delicious, or kinda cold and greasy, knowing it has been sitting in a warmer for some time. read more

Visited on a Sunday afternoon so maybe that was the problem. Of 14 tables in the place, 4 had dried food stuck to them. The physical layout of the seating and waiting area is bad and causes an issue. It appeared they were understaffed which probably led to the dirty tables and longer than expected wait time for food. read more

Again we decided to take our chance and go to the Waterloo IL KFC/Taco Bell and again our experience was disappointing. How hard is it to complete the order correctly?? We ordered 2 Mexican pizzas, not a small item, we only received one. If you go to the Columbia IL location it is a world of difference and yet they're separated by 8 miles. We will never go back to the Waterloo location, we'll drive the 8 miles to Columbia, at least we'll know our food will come out correctly and the tables will be clean, another issue at the Waterloo location. read more

Stopped in to eat after my son's baseball game. Not sure what happened....my son clearly ordered the kids popcorn chicken meal, with a side of gravy and potato wedges instead of mashed potatoes, soda instead of caprisun. The order taker leaves the cash register to go and get the caprisun. The gal specifically asked if he wanted soda or caprisun and he said soda. She insisted he said caprisun. I ordered a popcorn chicken meal, with potato wedges and gravy and I get mashed potatoes and an extra bowl of gravy. I took the mashed potatoes back to the counter and advised that there was a mistake, the staff continued to be confused. I've ordered the same thing for years at many KFC restaurants and never had this problem. BTW....we are only family there at 8:00 at night. As we left, another family had come in, ordered, received their food and appeared to be confused comparing their receipt to what they were served. As we walked out the door, the father of the family was headed to the cash register with receipt in hand. It is not rocket science...it's taking a simple order of fast food. read more
