Here in Canada, it is almost always a stand alone restaurant and they feature the Burger Family I used to remember from my youth. Now the Canadian A&W Menu is a touch different that the ones in states. They offer variations of the Burger Family, no more Baby Burger but they do have a Mama Burger, Papa Burger, Teen Burger as well as a Uncle Burger and a Gramma Burger. They also have hot dogs and a line of fried chicken fingers called plumpy chicken or something like that, I forget. I ordered the Mama Burger with fries and root beer. You order your food from the counter. There is also a drive up window which seems very popular in this neck of the woods. The kid took my order and then kind of forgot about me until he noticed me sitting in a corner reading a paper. He apoligized and got my order ready right away. Mama burger was good, less greasy than it's American cousins. About 1/4 pound beef patty with pickle, mustard, onion, ketchup and..............mayonnaise. The mayo surprised me but it was OK. All served on an sesame seed bun. Fries were hot but they are of the made from frozen variety. Root Beer was a bit different, not as creamy and not as much vanilla flavor as the U.S. All in all, not a bad meal for fast food.

Turns out KFC cuts their chickens into 12 PCs. So let's do some math! $15.99 for 6 PC's works out to about $2.67 a pc. X 12 = $31.98 for a whole chicken, that's one pricey chicken. So I wonder how big this $32 chicken is. kFC says in their nutritional information that a pc is 128 g so 128g x12 = 1536g or about 3.4 pounds or $32/3.4 = $9.41/lb. that's some expensive chicken! I don't even think this location was using the KFC blend of 11 herbs and spices as the coating had little to no flavor. KFC is definitely off my list!

Walked into A very well designed and clean sports bar atmosphere with plenty of seating and a large bar to belly up to if that's what you were going for! The service was quick and friendly even as it started to fill up. Since I had never been before I asked for a recommendation on a wing flavour and I was also surprised to see samosas on the menu so I thought... well I have to try those! The samosas were excellent and the wing flavour was spot on! I went with my server's recommendation of Smokey tequila lime...so good! Like I said, I walked in here to kill a bit of time but I will definitely be returning to order a mountain of wings so I can try all the different flavours and definitely pick up some of those samosas again!
