Regarding KFC Original Thighs ONLY. No KFC option in the rural area I reside. I have been stuck on OT's for too many years and visit KFC Havasu for a fix when I travel there. Recently I ordered OT's and immediately noticed several changes. First, the color had a reddish hue. Second, the skin looked nothing like the OT's I've ordered my whole life. Texture was more heavily battered with bumps and crunch, I never order anything other than Original style. Third, the famous spice was missing and lacking. Honestly, the chicken was fine but that special KFC Original consistency was out to lunch somewhere. I'll give the Havasu location one more shot next trip. Don't roll over yet Colonel, RIP. Edwin M. Haven't been to KFC in ages, so we decided to pick up a bucket at the drive thru... 8 piece bucket meal with white preferance. $23 and change, what a deal! Got home food still hot, sides were delicious, fluffy biscuits, yummy mashed potatoes and gravy, cole slaw, plenty of butter spread and honey in the bag and the chicken, my gosh it was perfect! Wow, I heard about the special, 10 dollar bucket of chicken on Tuesday. We ordered the extra crispy. When we got home and opened the bucket we both said, WTF is that. it looked to be original. Ugh I hate to have to post a review that's rated very little stars but....... After my friend & I got rained out from the lake, thanks to a monsoon we were hungry. We decided on KFC as it's one of our favorites. Of course I go to my Yelp page to find one & use the GPS to get there. Well we arrive & the lines for the drive they is LONG & it took FOREVER!! I did noticed signs on the door saying the dining room area was closed & only the drive thru was opened. Weird cause a little fast food restaurant next door had their dining room opened so my guess it wasn't due to COVID??? Anyways we were torn cause we were hungry & we had NO idea why the drive thru was so backed up & taking so long?? We ended up staying in line, we got a little lucky when the car in front of us decided they weren't waiting any longer & got out. Score we moved up a spot! After about 20-25 minutes of a wait we arrived to the ordering speaker & asked for the $20 special which has 8 pieces of chicken, mashed potatoes, coleslaw & biscuits. We asked for extra crispy & was told that they were out. Well surprise, surprise! No matter what city or state we are in & when we go to a KFC none of them ever have extra crispy. They are ALWAYS sold out?!?!? How is this? Between Las Vegas, Bullhead & Lake Havasu none of you have ever had extra crispy chicken?? Then we get the next bad news.....they don't have any chicken ready & it will be 20 minutes before any is cooked!!! What??? After us waiting forever to get to the ordering window you now tell us your out of chicken?!?!? Well after waiting that long we decided to wait another 20 minutes...ugh! The lady was nice & suggested "maybe run an errand & come back in 20 minutes & park out front?" So that's what we did. When we got back to get our food we waited under a minute. It was hot & we got back to our room to chow down. Odd thing is we had a bucket with way more then 8 pieces in it, also got a box of 8 biscuits when we should have only gotten 4.....we were afraid we may have gotten someone else'a order....if so they probably weren't gonna be happy to find that out after that long wait. We sure weren't gonna go back there again......my friend had plenty of left overs. Food was good.... Gave them the benefit of the doubt on more than 1 occasion coming in to town and the simple fact is they are clearly incompetent at cooking the food and at getting the orders correct. I have gone to kfc a few times. Every single time I have gotten my order, something was missing. Today I ordered, the original chicken was soggy and the ice tea tasted like straight up water!!
