If you're into fossils, this is a five star. For everyone else, some cool looks as serious fossils, local murals, and friendly folk. I also scored a classic Brownie camera her for 5 bucks! Chuck and Barbra are knowledgeable, and are connected in the fossil world all over. They've lectured across the U.S., and have friends in serious places, like at New York's Museum of Natural History. I mostly enjoyed the conversation, and when Chuck explained some of the fossils and murals, I appreciated them much more than I would have otherwise. If you're a museum type, check this out. read more

We took a chance and what a gem! This little museum may not look like much, but they had AMAZING fossils inside. Chuck and Barbara are both paleontologists and have lots to share about what they've dug up here in KS. If you are passing nearby to see Monument Rocks, this is a must stop! read more

Small local shop. The owner and shopkeeper is a fossil hunter and shows many of his own finds from the nearby area here. Fossils are also for sale for very reasonable prices compared to what you'd pay at a fancy shop in a big city. read more
