This was one of the worst restaurant experiences of my life. After three months of planning for a…read morethree course meal, the restaurant was a great disappointment.
After nearly an hour of waiting we received the water. Waiting another hour, the wine arrived. To say the service was horrible is an understatement. In excuse for the service, the waiter blamed the kitchen.
Two hours and fifteen minutes after we arrived, we were served the soup (the highlight of the meal). After 10 PM the main course was delivered.
While filet of beef should be served rare (unless otherwise requested), it should not be served cold and swimming in blood. The accompanying vegetables were overcooked, mushy, and tasteless. While the filet was bad, the duck was worse. It appeared to have been deep-fried, and for much too long. The flesh was grayish-brown, and completely dried out. I did manage to find a single fork-full of meat deep within the breast. The accompaniments were just as bad. The red cabbage tasted of the can, and the dumplings were pasty, rubbery, and inedible.
One cannot imagine a worse way to spend a significant birthday, and new years eve. I would give 0.1 stars if yelp allowed it.
